In his previous life, Ye Zhongming was familiar with the apocalypse where humanity survived amidst increasingly evolved zombies, monsters capable of reproduction, mutants with high intelligence and special abilities, and the greatly changed and formidable plants and animals. The importance of weapons is self-evident, especially in human evolution history, where weapons have evolved alongside humans, quickly becoming far more powerful than humans themselves.
In the apocalypse, it was the same; as zombies, monsters, and mutants evolved, their bodies would change in various ways, with some enhancements being subtle—like reinforced skin and bones—while others were more obvious, such as evolved iron arms, whip tails, claws, or even more fantastical forms.
In a situation where their bodies also evolved, these monsters with unique traits undoubtedly had a greater advantage.
Perhaps some powerful humans could resist them using skills and professions, but these individuals were ultimately in the minority. Most humans, who only evolved physically, found themselves powerless against these non-human life forms.
So how did humans fight against these monsters? With guns and cannons? Setting aside the fact that weapons developed in peacetime were mainly aimed at combating fellow humans, the destructive industrial system could no longer support the consumption of weapons and ammunition for all surviving humans.
Weapons obtained from the roulette? Too few.
Weapons crafted by artisans? Too few.
Weapons obtained from the desolate land? Still too few.
Although the weapons and equipment acquired through these channels were powerful, their numbers were far too small compared to the number of survivors, making them hardly significant.
Thus, in the early apocalypse, the speed of human evolution couldn't keep up with that of mutated life forms, and coupled with the lack of weapons to strengthen their capabilities, it was easy to understand their absolute disadvantage.
Until the advent of magic crystal weapons.
Ye Zhongming clearly remembered that one day, upon returning from a mission, he received news that left him shocked and unable to calm down for a long time: a large survivor base had united with a war group to eradicate a very famous desolate land, achieving a great victory. Although they couldn't solve the issue of flatlining the magic crystal conversion device and thus couldn't install magic crystals on cold weapons, the emergence of these magic crystal weapons resembling modern equipment was sufficient to address the issue of human weapons being weak. Ordinary evolvers could use magic crystal weapons to combat powerful mutated life forms.
This marked one of the most important moments in the history of humanity's resistance during the apocalypse. Along with this date remembered by all survivors, a name also became well-known:

By chance, Ye Zhongming had met Le Da Yuan once during a joint operation of war groups.
