This is Satou. When I play sports or competitive games, I like to give it my all. I believe the turning point for growth lies in whether you can take one more step beyond your limits.

The moon and Seryu City.

Confirming the Purple Maiden’s warning that the Demon World was overflowing, black sludge flowed down from the full moon rising in the sky. Cracking was detected at the dungeon core of the illusory labyrinth, and reports came in that communication with the underground labyrinth beneath Seryu City had been cut off.

I headed to the moon.

Although I emotionally wanted to prioritize Seryu City, I had a feeling things would get worse if I delayed here. So I followed the signal sent by my crisis awareness skill and chose this route.

Once I got close, I realized the situation was pretty bad.

From a volcano on the moon’s surface, sludge-like miasma was spewing out like lava. The contamination spread not only across the moon’s surface but even into its satellite orbit.

This is seriously bad. I’m glad I trusted the signal from my crisis awareness skill.

I changed my title to "god slayer," drew my Divine Sword, and headed for the moon’s surface, clearing the materialized miasma as I went.

Ugh, this is disgusting. Unpleasant emotions and resentments wash over my body like waves.

Even though I was eradicating the densest parts with my Divine Sword, I didn’t expect the lingering remnants to torment my mind so much. If someone like me with resistance skills and equipped with Nameless gear is affected this much, then anyone rushing in without preparation—even gods—might be in serious danger.

I could have activated the Sacred Stele’s ≪Destruction≫ to eliminate it all, but since its operational time is limited, I chose to conserve it here.

Though I had some regrets about that, I somehow managed to reach the moon’s surface.

I touched the jagged surface of the moon.

This is where the real work begins.

Pressing my palm down, I focused my will.

—Storage.

In the next moment, the moon disappeared.

Success. I tried it on a whim, but it seems I was able to store the moon in my storage without any problem.

Near the center of the moon, a few individuals resembling demons floated.

I guess I can leave those guys alone for now.

What’s more concerning—

The sludge, having lost the moon’s gravity, was starting to move, pulled by the planet’s gravity.

“That’s going to be tough to handle alone.”

It looks simple, but the vast amount of miasma that covered the surface of this huge satellite is overwhelming.

“You’re not alone!”

Just as I was feeling overwhelmed, a cheerful voice reached my ears. It was Arisa.

“That’s right! Pochi is here too!”

“Tama as well—”

Arisa and the others arrived aboard a large Void Ship from a base in satellite orbit.

I assume Arisa used spatial magic to teleport from the base.

“Master, today we’re going a bit all out!”

A purple light ran across the surface of the Large Void Ship.

“Let’s goooooooo!”

The “Hyper Isolation Wall (Hyper Deraciner),” reinforced by the ship’s support and Arisa’s unique skill “full power unleashed (over boost),” caught the black sludge.

“Seriously, some people are reckless.”

To not let Arisa’s efforts go to waste, I soared with flashstride over the densest sludge caught by the Hyper Isolation Wall, activating the ≪Destruction≫ stanza with my Divine Sword to erase it.

—Ugh.

It’s better than before, but even with ≪Destruction≫ activated, some residue remains.

Enduring the mental discomfort, I continued the cleanup.

My companions also helped by casting purification ritual magic and anti-god magic to eliminate the sludge.

—ALERT.

After clearing a good portion of the black sludge, I noticed on the monitor that a friend’s status in Seryu City was looking bad.

“I’m heading to support Seryu City. I’ll leave this to you for a while.”
