The heroes were in a panic as the room filled rapidly with the multiplying swarm of Demon King Liches.

The heroes’ attendants began chanting spells, but it was certain they’d be swallowed by the tsunami-like swarm of Demon King Liches before finishing.

“M-Meiko, do something!”

“Shut up, Yuuki. You’re suited for taking on many enemies.”

“More importantly, we need to escape—”

It seemed best to move the heroes to a safe zone for now.

Since handing the City Core over to the Demon King Liches would cause serious problems, I ordered the City Core to be covered with multiple barriers to focus on self-defense.

I dug a tunnel straight upwards using earth magic’s “Free Mining,” grabbed the heroes and their attendants with the “Magic Hand,” and teleported them in unit formation to just above the Ruins of the Sanctuary, which I faintly spotted.

“Ughyaaah!”

“Wh-where are we? Why the sky?”

“A-And the Demon King?”

Yuuki’s screams were loud, so I re-teleported them to the now-cleared Ruins of the Sanctuary.

After a while, a mass of objects mixed with deep blue and jet black, wrapped in purple phosphorescence, erupted from the vertical tunnel we made for escape.

They barely retained their original form, but those were the Demon King Liches.

Their bodies were half-covered with sludge-like mucus and rags clumped together.

Only about ten of the Demon Kings had surfaced so far.

Perhaps they got stuck somewhere, as the rest wriggled between the tunnels and City Core.

“Demon Kingssss! Diiiieeeeeeeeee!”

Hero Meiko charged at the Demon Kings, glowing with blue light.

Even with her unique skill of perfect evasion, it was impossible for Meiko to fight ten Demon Kings at once.

Looking up at the roar of the black dragon Heilong, I saw dragons circling in the sky and Liza.

I teleported close to the Demon King Liches using earth shrinking, grabbed them one by one with the “Magic Arm,” and threw them into the air.

The main purpose of deploying the big force was my friends’ stress relief and practical testing, but since the Demon Kings multiplied this much, it turned out perfect.

“Hey, wait a minute!”

“I’ll take the extras.”

I told protesting Meiko that I’d leave one Demon King behind and threw all the others into the sky.

I left one behind hoping that defeating it would trigger their return flag.

“That one’s ours! Don’t interfere!”

“Yeah, good luck.”

Keeping my distance with earth shrinking to avoid getting cut down with the Demon Kings.

Flashes dyed the sky as several Demon King Liches were burnt to black mist by black dragon Heilong’s breath.

Three Demon Kings who survived the direct hit of the breath were approached by Pochi riding the white dragon and Liza flying with her enhanced armor.

The young dragon flying alongside also used breath, but couldn’t finish off a Demon King, letting out a sad cry.

“Take that!”

Pochi’s Holy Sword clashed with a Demon King Lich’s fist, blue light and purple sparks scattering in the air.

“Uoryaaah!”

Thanks to the “True Hero” title of the dog hero Pochi, the blue glow of their Holy Sword released a dazzling flash, burning the Demon King Lich’s body.

Pochi’s Holy Sword sliced the Demon King in two, but the sword itself wasn’t unscathed—it shattered about halfway along the blade.

Liza dodged a Demon King Lich’s punch, pierced its head with the Dragon Spear, and her finishing move unleashed a swirling blue light that blew the Demon King’s upper body away.

However, the last remaining Demon King caught her off guard with countless tentacles while passing by, shattering the side defense barrier of her enhanced armor and damaging it.
