This is Satou. Perhaps because I started with war-themed board simulation games, I also like World War II war games on home consoles. When it comes to simulations involving domestic affairs like the Sengoku period, I always find the internal management to be a hassle.

“I’m coming right away, Mia. Tell the airship to retreat to a safe zone.”
A report came in that the ghost fleet led by the Skeletal Duke had appeared over Rumork City.
According to the map markers, Miss Karina and Princess Sistina seem to be at the Galleon Temple on the ground, but those two should be fine without a rushed rescue.
Now, traveling by sea from here would take too long.
But I can’t just abandon the allied fleet here either.
So, I decided to devise a little plan.
“The Golden Helm Wheel—”
The navigator, noticing that the “Golden Helm Wheel” in my hand emitted a solemn bell chime and golden light, let out a surprised voice.
Well, I’m producing that magic myself.
“—The Golden Helm Wheel has told me that Rumork City is facing a crisis.”
“W-what!”
“We thought we escaped the pirate armada, but now Rumork City—”
Hearing my words, the navigator and the deputy captain cried out in anguish.
Their families are in danger, so their reaction is understandable.
To set the next stage, I summoned thick dark clouds and roughened the sea with weather control magic.
“Count Pendragon! Can’t you do something?”
“There is one option.”
I looked at the deputy captain’s face illuminated by lightning and nodded firmly.
“Golden Helm Wheel!”
Leaving the embarrassment to my “Poker Face” skill, I relied on my “Amplify Voice” skill and “Acting” skill to project a voice loud enough to overcome the wind and thunder, delivering it to the flagship crew.
“Assist the followers serving the great God Galleon to reach the divine presence!”
It somehow sounded like a funeral speech, but thanks to my acting and deception skills, no one seemed to doubt it.
“Golden Helm Wheel!”
Answering again, I used the “Magic Arm” to lift the ship from the sea surface, then flew it using wind magic and gravity magic.
At the moment of lifting, I cast an “Illusion” spell to give the ship a golden glow.
At the same time, I intensified the rain to reduce visibility. The meaning of that is—
“The ship! Ships all around!”
The crew spotted the fleet silhouettes appearing through the rain and shouted their reports.
I had gathered the allied fleet ships I had marked using spatial magic teleportation.
Since the order from God Galleon is to demonstrate “martial might of the army,” I thought driving off the ghost fleet with just one ship wouldn’t do.
So, I gathered all the allied ships except the escort fleet scattered to escape the pirates.
Still, there were only about ten ships in total.
The ghost fleet seems to have over a hundred ships, so the power gap is huge.
Therefore, taking advantage of the poor visibility in the storm, I merged the golem fleet I had prepared beforehand.
If I could join about fifty ships, the fleet battle would look proper.
“Count Pendragon, you are surrounded by unfamiliar warships!”
“That’s fine. They are allies. Ships of God Galleon gathered by the Golden Helm Wheel.”
With the help of my deception skill, I convinced the navigators that the warships were friendly.
Of course, after exerting such power, my magic power was nearly exhausted, so I took out a magic artifact stocked with magic power replenishment from my storage and refilled.
“W-what? The ship is flying in the sky?”
The commander of the temple knights, who had been down with seasickness since departure, staggered out of his cabin.
I wondered if it was alright for the naval commander of a maritime nation to be so weak on ships, but since their usual job is guarding temples, they probably managed despite the seasickness.
“It is the miracle of the great God Galleon!”
I asserted firmly.
At times like this, being decisive is more convincing.
To fulfill God Galleon’s order, it seems the gratitude and prayers of the people must reach God Galleon, so this approach is better.
