This is not from Satou’s perspective.
This is a short story from Pochi’s point of view.
Correction of typos on 1/2.
“Pochi, shall I tell you a good story?”
“That face means trouble. Arisa is trying to trick Pochi.”
“Oh, no, that’s not true at all.”
Arisa told me an amazing story.
With this, I can finally say goodbye to a fish-only life.
“Master! Something terrible has happened!”
“What is it?”
“Um, um, yes, Pochi is scared of meat.”
“Oh, that’s serious.”
“What if I’m shown grilled meat?”
“It’s so scary I might faint.”
Just as Arisa said, I covered my face with my paws and made my best scary expression.
“Then, what if you’re shown a steak?”
“I’d scream and pass out.”
This time I crouched down holding my head.
“I see, Pochi, you’ve got it tough too.”
“Yes, it’s really tough.”
Master laughed just like Arisa said he would.
That means tonight is meat night!
Because I can smell the wonderful aroma of meat grilling~♪
I was so excited looking forward to dinner!
“Delicious~”
“It’s delicious, Master.”
Huh? Wait a minute.
Something’s strange.
Looking around, everyone else has steak on their plates except mine.
“Why is it grilled fish?”
“Pochi said he was scared of meat, so I got you fish. You should have told me earlier.”
Master smiled kindly. I felt a little happy, but something was off. While I anxiously held my plate, Arisa gave me a mischievous smile and spoke.
“What’s wrong, Pochi? Fish is tasty too, you know?”
Ah, I was tricked by Arisa after all.
“Here, Pochi, you might be scared of tea too, so here’s water.”
Master chuckled as he handed me a glass of water. He even spoiled the punchline that Arisa had told me beforehand.
There goes all the fun and dreams.
As I stared dejectedly at the fish, Lulu swapped my plate for a steak.
“You know, Master and Arisa have been teasing you too much just because you’re cute, Pochi-chan.”
“Sorry, Lulu, I couldn’t help it.”
Meat, meat!
Surprised, I looked around and everyone nodded in agreement.
“Master, can I eat this?”
“Sure, eat as much as you want.”
From now on, I’ll just tell Master plainly, “I want to eat meat.”
Also, thank you, Lulu.

] I wanted to tell Pochi the old story “Scared of Steamed Buns.”
This short story was born from that idea.
From this point on, Pochi becomes a character often teased.
By the way, the fish on Pochi’s plate was deliciously eaten by the staff.
