This is Satou. When I think of setting out on a journey, I recall graduation ceremonies. Perhaps it's because I come from a world where even if someone is on the opposite side of the continent, you can meet again within two or three days that I don’t have the temperament to consider a journey as a final farewell. Is it heavier in another world?

The results of last night's auction were better than expected.
The Forged Demonic Sword sold for the planned price, but the Forged Demonic Spear and the Forged Magic Halberd fetched quite high prices. Especially the Forged Magic Halberd—it ended up in a duel between a man who seemed like an explorer and another man wearing splendid armor, and was sold for 270 gold coins. I guess the paralysis function added by electric shock was the key to the high price. I suppose I shouldn't think about the cost price.
Since the profits exceeded expectations, I decided to donate 10 gold coins each to the Tenion Temple’s soup kitchen fund and the orphanage as a form of charity. Anything more would be beyond common sense, so I restrained myself.
The notebook I won was torn in two near the middle. And perhaps because the writer was cautious, it was written in a unique cipher. While trying to decode it, I acquired the "Cipher Decoding" skill and was able to easily decipher it.
It contained instructions on making soap, glass and mirrors, rubber, etc.
In short, various useful technologies that might come in handy when coming to another world were noted down. Unfortunately, I already know how to make most of them, so it’s a shame I didn’t get it earlier.
The most beneficial was a curry recipe. It described how to make spices from scratch. The problem is whether I can find the spices. There were also instructions on making soba and udon noodles, so it might have been a good buy.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t obtain any information about the notebook’s owner.
I have a feeling it might be the third person the hero Hayato mentioned, but since he seems shrewd, I hope he is enjoying his life in this other world.

“Good evening, hero Hayato.”
On the eve before the heroes departed from the Duke’s Capital, I visited the hero’s room in my Nameless mode, dressed in a somewhat plain outfit. Because having members like Pochi with keen noses around would be problematic, I used deodorant magic.
“So, Nameless, how did you sneak in?”
“Cheat.”
Such a convenient word.
As soon as I entered through the window, a girl from the Ear Tribe who seemed to be one of the hero’s companions immediately apologized. Since just forgiving her felt off, I made her let me touch her ears in return. Yeah, they’re quite nice.
Next, the hero thanked me.
He said the same things he told me previously, but when he asked if I wanted to touch his ears in return, I couldn’t help but knock on his head with a fist.
Having punched the hero, I thought Lady Ringlande or Princess Merryest would complain, but apparently he is treated like that regularly, and everyone acted as if it was normal. Princess Merryest even said I didn’t need to go easy on him. Is that really okay?
I didn’t need anything special as a thank-you gift, so jokingly mentioning an aerodynamic engine, the hero pulled out what seemed to be a spare aerodynamic engine made by Jules Verne, teasing me. I plan to build one myself, so I politely declined the generous offer. Princess Merryest looked visibly relieved, so it must be a precious item.
In the end, the hero agreed to share rare metals like Mithril and Orichalcum with me. He said he obtained them in the labyrinth, but both are lent to the empire’s factory and not currently on hand.
I’ll get them later, but just hearing “Orichalcum” makes my heart race.
Oh, I almost forgot the main reason I came here.
“What’s this?”
“Never seen it? It’s a cursed magical artifact that turns people into the demon race.”
I threw a Short Horn, which I took from my pocket via storage, to the hero. It was used and obtained in Grylian City.
