Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody

Chapter 146: Visitors from the Sky ☁️

Published: September 4, 2025

Satou here. There are games with ridiculous setups like female warriors in bikini armor, but it seems that in this other world, there are no warriors wearing bikini armor.

The visitor who descended from the sky slowed down just above the ground before landing.

“Thanks for the welcome!”

When she removed her helmet, silver hair spilled out like a flowing waterfall. She dismounted from a golem modeled after a pegasus, the metal armor on her heels ringing with a clear sound. It didn’t seem to be ordinary iron armor.

“Princess!”

“Lady Leenglande!”

The people gathered in the square called out “Leenglande” in unison.

The woman who appeared riding a pegasus-shaped golem from the sky was Leenglande Ouyugok. She was Hero Hayato Masaki’s attendant. Her level was 55. Judging by her skill set, she seemed like a magic swordsman leaning toward being a mage.

At 22 years old, she was a sharp-featured beauty with slightly slanted eyes and thin eyebrows.

The metal armor she wore wasn’t the rough mass of metal that knights usually wore; it drew smooth, feminine lines. Judging by the curves of her armor, it might be close to an E-cup size. Nana’s armor should be redesigned using Lady Leenglande’s as a reference.

I didn’t know why the granddaughter of Duke Ouyugok, a prominent figure in the Shiga Kingdom, had come to serve the hero of the Saga Empire, but judging by the crowd gathered in the square, she was very popular.

“She’s really popular, isn’t she?”

“Do you know anything about her, Lord Noble?”

Shellna-san clenched her fists in front of her chest and asked eagerly.

I nodded, swept up by her enthusiasm, and she told me various things about Lady Leenglande.

Lady Leenglande was the granddaughter of the duke, the fourth daughter of the heir to the dukedom, and her mother was a princess from the Shiga royal family who had married into the noble family. Though she had no right to succession, her bloodline was impeccable.

From the age of ten, she overflowed with magical talent and skipped grades to enroll at the Royal Academy. She earned a bachelor’s degree in two years and was a gifted scholar who mastered wind and flame magic at an advanced level. Even after earning her degree, she stayed enrolled for three more years until she was 15, honing her magic in the labyrinth city while simultaneously conducting research. She is said to have revived two lost types of magic: explosion magic and destruction magic. In addition, she was granted the honorary baroness title for these achievements.

She apparently learned swordsmanship while in the labyrinth city, but Shellna-san didn’t seem to know much about that.

Because she was such a person, when she left the Shiga Kingdom at 18 to serve the hero of the Saga Empire, various scandals arose. I wasn’t interested, so I just nodded along as Shellna-san talked.

She was said to be returning home for the first time in two years.

Shellna-san seemed eager to join Lady Leenglande’s entourage, so I gave her permission. After submitting reports to the duke, she was ordered by the prefect to arrange various matters during our stay. Since the urgent tasks were already done, she deserved a day off today. From tomorrow, she would be guiding tours of various workshops, so she should prepare herself.

I asked a footman waiting at the exit to call the carriage we came in.

It’s a hassle to use people for everything. Nina, the regent, told me that going to call it myself was a no-go, so I had to get used to using servants even if it was annoying.

The carriage took us to the district where magic shops and bookstores clustered. Though there were magic shops in downtown as well, for now, I had them go to the area closer to the castle.

I noticed someone inside the shop and considered switching to a downtown store, but it seemed too suspicious, so I gave up and went inside.

“Oh, is that you, Lord Satou?”

“Hmm, do you know Tolma?”

“Indeed. Didn’t I tell you before? About the 10,000 monsters that attacked Muno City—”
