Bringing the Farm to Live in Another World

Chapter 999: Entering the Underworld 🌌

Published: March 12, 2025

Creak, creak, creak, creak!

A sound of bones grinding echoed through the black mist, traveling far and wide. If dark mages from the Ark Continent heard this noise, they would immediately realize that it was the sound made by a large group of skeletons moving.

However, unfortunately, this was not the Ark Continent. This was the Underworld, and such sounds could be heard everywhere here; there was nothing strange about it.

Slowly, a row of gray skeletons was advancing through the black mist. These were the lowest level skeletons in the Underworld, and only such skeletons would make creaking sounds while walking. Higher-level skeletons would not produce such noises.

In the Underworld, these ordinary gray skeletons, which roamed around all day without any intelligence, had only two uses: one was to be used as cannon fodder, and the other was to be consumed by other undead beings. Apart from these two purposes, they were practically useless.

Moreover, a new batch of gray skeletons would appear almost every few days here. Some of these gray skeletons would emerge with a hint of intelligence and begin to slaughter other gray skeletons, gradually growing stronger until they eventually became powerful silver or golden skeletons. Meanwhile, others would be killed as soon as they appeared.

However, this squad of gray skeletons was clearly under someone's command. They marched in an orderly formation, slowly moving forward. If one were not in the black mist, they would discover that this was an army of the undead, and in the middle of this army, there was a transparent bone chariot, pulled by a mage dressed in a black magic robe. His dark magic robe was very unique, enveloping him entirely without a trace of an opening.

Behind this dark mage stood two individuals. One was clad in a full set of skeleton armor, with arms made of bone. However, the bones on him were quite different from those of other skeletons; they were almost transparent, appearing very shiny.

The other was a zombie dressed in tattered rags, with half-foot-long fangs and sharp claws that revealed his identity as a zombie king.

This group was led by Zhao Hai. They had already arrived in the Underworld, and the gray skeletons around them were Guli's subordinates. Zhao Hai planned to eventually absorb them into his space to elevate their levels.

Because of this, Zhao Hai had instructed Guli's subordinates to subdue so many gray skeletons. In the Underworld, no power would bother with these lowest-tier gray skeletons.

At this moment, Zhao Hai, sitting there, said solemnly, "Guli, how far are we from the Three Saint City you mentioned?"

Guli replied, "Young master, we are not far. If we continue for about an hour, we'll arrive. Three Saint City was founded by us three and is the largest city of this generation. In the city, you can see zombies, skeletons, Liches, and even some higher-level dark magical beasts and a few vampires. They live in our city and are managed by us."

Zhao Hai said with interest, "I never expected that you would also build a city in the Underworld. Are you planning to engage in trade?" Guli nodded, "Yes, young master, we also engage in trade. However, we do not use gold and silver like the human race as currency. Our trading currency is actually spiritual soul fire and hunstone!"

Zhao Hai was taken aback, "I know about spiritual soul fire; every undead being has it. But how is this used as currency? And what is hunstone?"

Guli further explained, "As you said, spiritual soul fire exists within every undead being. After killing an undead being, you can obtain spiritual soul fire. We undead beings have two ways to handle this spiritual soul fire. One is to absorb it, and the other is to use it to buy things we need. Hunstone is like the magic crystal in the Ark Continent, but in the Ark Continent, magic crystals have two sources: one from the bodies of magical beasts and the other from magic crystal mines. Here in the Underworld, hunstone only comes from the bodies of magical beasts; there are no hunstone mines."
