In the past, those battle suits required excessive energy, and if the user's energy was insufficient, it would lead to backlash. In other words, the Elder Supremes of the divine race, if they overused the suits, would suffer lasting effects, much like what happened with Jin Ben in the beginning.
However, space-produced battle suits did not have this problem. These suits were akin to a powerful sword that greatly enhanced the user's strength but also required physical stamina to wield. Once the stamina was depleted, one could not hold the sword steadily. No matter how good the sword was, it could not be used to defeat enemies. Now, if someone ran out of stamina, the worst that would happen is that they could no longer use the sword, and the sword wouldn't harm them.
Although the battle suits would not backfire now, the energy required to use them was still significant. Even the Elder Supremes of the otherworldly divine race could not use them for extended periods.
