Lushiming calmly looked at the black mist in front of him. As the commander of the first squad at the northern front, he had been left behind and was heavily relied upon.
He was well aware that his family placed great importance on the northern defense line, and he understood the current situation. The methods his family had prepared to deal with the black mist were completely ineffective. Moreover, the black mist was continuously expanding, which posed a severe challenge for the family. If things went wrong, the family could suffer a devastating loss.
However, Lushiming felt helpless. The black mist, which should only appear in the innate yin land, had manifested here, making it an exceedingly strange occurrence, especially since it was expanding as well.
Lushiming was genuinely worried, and for some reason, he felt particularly anxious today, as if his heart was pounding in his chest.
He firmly believed in this feeling; it was not something he was born with, but rather something that had emerged after he sustained a serious injury. This feeling was quite peculiar, yet it was undeniably real, and it had saved Lushiming several times after he became a battle vehicle driver, helping him evade danger through instinct.
But today, this feeling of danger was unprecedented, heightening his anxiety. The comrades who patrolled with Lushiming noticed something unusual, as he seemed exceptionally tense.
Lushiming couldn’t explain his feelings to them. Even if he did, he doubted anyone would believe him, so he could only remain vigilant, prepared for any sudden incidents that might arise.
Although the sun hung high in the sky, making it the hottest part of the day, Lushiming still felt a chill, frequently breaking out in cold sweat.
At this moment, the black mist before them suddenly began to roll. Lushiming became even more anxious, but oddly, his heart calmed down; he knew his intuition was once again validated—there was indeed something happening with the black mist.
Without further thought, he didn’t wait to see what was happening but turned the battle vehicle around and accelerated to its maximum speed.
His actions left his companions puzzled. Among those who followed him was Taiwu, who looked at Lushiming in confusion, "Brother Shiming, what’s wrong? Why are we going back? Something is happening with the black mist; we should stay here!"
Lushiming shook his head and replied, "No, it’s dangerous."
He had barely finished speaking when a mecha driver, who had been observing the situation behind them, suddenly exclaimed. Lushiming and Taiwu hurriedly looked into the rearview mirror of the vehicle, and the sight before them left them stunned.
They saw a group of beings flying out from the black mist—not just anyone, but a horde of undead beings, all shimmering golden in color, appearing as if they were forged from gold.
These golden skeletons were riding on similarly golden magical beasts, wielding golden weapons that looked incredibly imposing.
Amidst these undead beings was a group of nearly transparent skeletons, resembling the golden skeletons but appearing more advanced.
In the center of this throng of undead was a vehicle, an exceptionally peculiar one made entirely of bones, assembled from transparent bones to form the shape of a chariot. Pulling this vehicle were four nearly transparent undead beings.
Inside the vehicle sat an undead being unlike the rest; this one wore a full set of armor!
Indeed, it was a full suit of brilliant golden armor. From a distance, it appeared to be made of gold, but upon closer inspection, one could see that the armor was similar to the chariot, crafted from numerous small bones, all a golden, semi-transparent hue.
This being's helmet, shoulder guards, elbow pads, and knee protection were made from golden skulls, offering not only superior protection but also a terrifying appearance.
Its chest plate was particularly striking, made from a golden, semi-transparent bull skull, with two horns angled skyward from its shoulders, exuding an air of dominion.
