Zhao Hai sat on the Darkness King, with Laura and the others sitting beside him. The layout of this room was almost identical to that of the space villa. Since Zhao Hai couldn't stay in the space villa for long periods, he could only create a room on the Darkness King that resembled the space villa. This way, he would feel more comfortable.
Laura and the others did not oppose Zhao Hai’s actions. From their perspective, it was completely necessary. Since Zhao Hai spent every day on the Darkness King, they also had to stay there to accompany him. They had already become accustomed to the space villa. They could say that even if they closed their eyes there, they wouldn’t bump into anything. If they had to adapt to a new environment, it might take some time for them to get used to it. Therefore, Zhao Hai’s decision was also beneficial for them.
Now, the Darkness King was their home, and almost everything from the villa had been moved onto the ship. Zhao Hai and the others spent every day on the Darkness King.
Xiao Bingya and the others had witnessed what it meant to be a homebody. Although Zhao Hai and the others stayed on the Darkness King every day, they rarely went outside; they were almost always locked in their rooms. Their behavior made Xiao Bingya and the others smile wryly.
Currently, Zhao Hai was carefully observing the situation at Kess Island. Four large ships had launched and were undergoing trial runs, all functioning normally. Then, a few ships returned to Kess Island's shipyard for final inspections and some adjustments before they could officially be put into use.
However, what Zhao Hai was focusing on were those armored troop transports. Although he didn’t know what they were called in Atlantis, he liked to refer to them as armored troop transports. The armor was indeed thick, and they were quite large. These vehicles were tracked and designed with sharp angles, giving them a fierce appearance. Zhao Hai was paying attention to the magic circles on those armored troop transports, which were similar to those on the large ships. With Zhao Hai's research on magic circles, he couldn’t distinguish which ones were the same and which were different.
One thing that puzzled Zhao Hai was that these armored troop transports were tracked and had very heavy bodies. If they were equipped with mecha inside, they would be even heavier. Despite being such a heavy vehicle, its speed was not slow, and it turned quite flexibly, which left Zhao Hai baffled.
Laura, sitting next to Zhao Hai, had nothing much to do at the moment. Unlike Meigen and Lily, who were busy formulating tactics daily, Laura didn’t engage in such activities. However, Zhao Hai had discovered another characteristic of Laura's in terms of logistics management – her sensitivity to machinery.
Perhaps it was because she had Klein's genes, Laura had a strong intuition for machinery and magic circles. However, she had not paid attention to these aspects before, so she had never displayed this talent.
But now things were different. As Laura looked at the mecha and magic circles from Atlantis, she suddenly felt a passion for these two things. A couple of days ago, when the large ships were about to launch, Laura had stared at the screen for over a day, which forced Zhao Hai to insist that she take a break.
Now, Laura was also staring wide-eyed at the armored troop transports on the screen. After a while, she said, “Brother Hai, do you think we should modify the Darkness King a bit?”
Zhao Hai was taken aback when he heard her say this and looked at Laura in confusion, “Modify the Darkness King? Why? How do you want to modify it?”
Laura smiled and said, “Do you think the current attack methods of the Darkness King are too single? I want to make some changes to the magic signal; what do you think?”
Zhao Hai thought for a moment and said, “The Darkness King was built according to the space blueprints, so it won't be easy to modify. How about this? You draw a blueprint, and if it's well done, I’ll agree to the modification.”
