Chapter 86: Testing New Features

As soon as the staff reached Zhao Hai's hands, a prompt from the space system immediately sounded: “Evil Spirit Staff, can automatically extend and retract, up to five meters long, at least 0.5 meters short, can emit light in dark environments, and can use all functions of the space.”

Zhao Hai was taken aback; he really hadn't expected that this staff would have such effects, which was quite an unexpected surprise.

Although the first two functions weren't particularly useful to Zhao Hai, having them was better than not having them at all. He was also very satisfied with the staff's design.

Zhao Hai turned his gaze back to the screen and clicked on the shop icon. The shop page appeared, and the first item was still ordinary seeds. After a quick glance, Zhao Hai noticed that, in addition to some seeds already present in the space, there were now many unique plants from the Ark Continent.

He looked up and discovered a decoration option.

Zhao Hai clicked on the decoration option, and sure enough, a decoration page popped up, similar to when playing a game, displaying a row of house images on the screen.

Zhao Hai glanced at the images and indeed, each picture had a price listed below. It seemed these items were just like those in a game; using these backgrounds required spending money.

As Zhao Hai examined the images, he finally found a background that could be purchased for one gold coin. This background was exactly like the small villa he used when playing the game. Upon closer inspection, there were fences, a dog house, and the background. However, he couldn't use the last three items, so he just spent one gold coin to buy the image of the house and then decorated it.

Just after clicking the decoration button, Zhao Hai felt a tremor all around him, and then everything around him was enveloped in a layer of white light.

When the white light dissipated, Zhao Hai was stunned to find that he was no longer sitting on a small stool; he was now on a sofa, which was situated in a very large living room. The living room was over twenty square meters in size, and he was seated on a sofa set that consisted of one large and two small sofas. The large sofa could comfortably seat five people, while each of the smaller sofas could seat one person. The floor was covered with a carpet, and a wooden coffee table, colored a beautiful cherry red, was placed in the middle of the sofas. Facing the large sofa was a forty-two-inch screen, which was currently off, and on the coffee table lay a remote control-like device.

Zhao Hai stood up from the sofa and looked around, realizing that the house was indeed very large. Besides the living room, the first floor also had two bathrooms, a hot spring room, a storage room, a kitchen, a dining room, and two guest rooms.

He inspected the first floor; he noticed the bathrooms were equipped with modern amenities. Each bathroom was about five square meters and contained a toilet, a bathtub, a showerhead capable of adjusting hot and cold water, a washbasin, and a fairly large mirror. The layout of the two bathrooms was identical.

The kitchen was fully equipped, not only for cooking Chinese cuisine but also included some utensils for Western cooking. All the kitchenware shone brightly, indicating they were brand new. The dining room had a long table that could accommodate eight people, with a few ordinary landscape oil paintings hanging on the walls.

The hot spring room was relatively simple. The floor was paved with small stones, making it non-slip and capable of massaging the feet. The hot spring room was about five square meters and also contained a stone for resting, with the walls tiled.

In the storage room, there were various daily household items, from basins to buckets, from brooms to mops, and they were all accounted for. Most importantly, Zhao Hai also found five ironing boards and an electric iron.

The guest rooms were much simpler, each containing a bed, a wardrobe, and two nightstands with table lamps. By the window, there was also a small table and two sofas, with both guest rooms having the same layout.
