CHAPTER 835: Land of Freedom
Laura was taken aback, then widened her eyes and said, "So that's how that iron guy operates. Interesting, really interesting."
Zhao Hai narrowed his eyes. He had gleaned a lot from Aks’s mecha suit. Although their way of controlling the mecha seemed quite odd, one couldn't deny it was very convenient. People like them operating the mecha was something ordinary folks couldn't manage. It seemed that the people of the Atlantis Continent had truly developed the magic circle's utility to its utmost.
On the screen, Aks was controlling the machine to fly forward at a considerable speed. After watching for a while, Zhao Hai found nothing particularly interesting and shifted the screen back to the Thunder Clan.
He had only spoken with Fei'er for a short while before this incident happened, and he hurried off to meet Aks, not knowing what Fei'er and the others were doing now.
When he switched the screen, he found that Fei'er and the others were on the move. There was nothing to see while they were traveling, so after looking for a bit, he shifted the screen to the background of the goblin clan.
As soon as the screen switched to the goblin clan’s background, Zhao Hai was stunned. The scene there was vastly different now. Under those breadfruit trees, several small houses had been built, and they were all quite beautiful. Upon a closer look, he realized the houses were made from a mixture of mud and grass, decorated with some breadfruit shells.
Zhao Hai turned to Cai'er and asked, “Cai'er, what have the goblins changed in the past few days? Show me.”
Cai'er complied, pulling out a list. It contained ordinary tools without anything particularly special. Zhao Hai couldn't help but nod. It seemed the goblins were indeed skillful; otherwise, they wouldn't have been able to build such houses with simple tools.
Zhao Hai smiled slightly and said, “It looks good. By the way, Cai'er, what have the goblins been doing recently? Are they only building houses?”
Cai'er laughed and replied, “No, young master, you don’t know. Among those goblins, a few can read. Those who can read are teaching those who can’t, and don’t underestimate the houses they’ve built; they all contain magic circles, and those magic circles are quite advanced. Living in those houses must be very comfortable.”
Zhao Hai was taken aback and zoomed in on the screen to look inside the goblin houses. Indeed, there were a few magic circles arranged inside, and they had woven some mats from grass, which looked quite nice.
Zhao Hai nodded and smiled, saying, “It seems my thoughts were correct. These goblins are no worse than the people of the Atlantis Continent. It’s just that their inheritance was interrupted by the divine race, so they couldn't produce such powerful mecha. If the goblin clan had developed normally, they might have been as strong as Aks and the others by now.”
Laura was stunned for a moment, then her eyes brightened. She turned to Zhao Hai and said, “Brother Hai, do you mean to bring the mecha civilization from the Atlantis Continent over for the goblins to study?”
Zhao Hai nodded, “Exactly. I originally intended for the goblins to research magical machinery. Now that Aks and the others have appeared, this gives me the opportunity. The magic circles they use on their mechas are very advanced, clearly the result of years of research, and these goblins have a talent for it. Perfect, let them study those magic circles; they might come up with something remarkable.”
Laura nodded, “That sounds good. It’s already impressive that those goblins can pass down some of their inheritance under such living conditions.”
Zhao Hai agreed, “Indeed. From the actions of these goblins, they clearly cannot pass down the entire inheritance of the goblin clan. Although the magic circles are good, they are not that advanced, indicating their inheritance is still broken. But the fact that they have managed to pass down so much is already commendable. Most races in their situation wouldn’t even think about inheritance; they’d be focused on just getting enough to eat. They truly are remarkable.”
