Bringing the Farm to Live in Another World

Chapter 837: Mutual Scheming 🤔

Aks actually had some things he hadn’t mentioned. In the Atlantis Continent, there are no nations; everything is ruled by family powers. Aks’s family is the most famous armored mage family in the Armored Mage Continent, the O'Neill family, and Aks is the next in line to be the clan leader.

In the Atlantis Continent, the power of families has been magnified to the extreme. The power of a family is not inferior to that of an empire, and countless smaller families serve them. The few small dimensions conquered by the Atlantis Continent in the past were all done by some of the famous large families there. Once a family conquers a dimension, they can turn that dimension into their own territory, which allows the family to grow even stronger.

Although the O'Neill family was the most renowned armored mage family on the Armored Mage Continent, they had never conquered a dimension of their own, so their strength had diminished over time.

The Atlantis Continent is different from the God Realm. In the God Realm, they were aware of the presence of several dimensions nearby and knew their locations, much like having coordinates. Therefore, when they wanted to conquer a dimension, they could arrange accordingly and break through the spatial barrier to conquer it.

However, the Atlantis Continent lacks such capabilities; they do not know what dimensions are around them, nor do they know the coordinates of those dimensions. As a result, breaking through the spatial barrier becomes very difficult.

Their only option is to find a place and set up a magic circle. This magic circle is quite unique because it can only break the spatial barrier if there is another space present at its opposing coordinate; otherwise, the magic circle will self-destruct and become unusable.

The O'Neill family's attempts to conquer the few dimensions in the Atlantis Continent have faced similar challenges. Unfortunately, their luck has not been good. They have set up several such magic circles, but the positions were incorrect, so they have never managed to break the spatial barrier, which has brought considerable losses to the family. It’s worth noting that the materials required to set up such a magic circle are quite valuable; otherwise, anyone could simply set it up.

Recently, Aks heard from his subordinates in a report that in a relatively remote valley within the O'Neill family territory, a spatial rift had suddenly appeared and was growing larger.

Upon hearing this news, the entire O'Neill family was shaken. Their first reaction was not joy but fear. They feared that a higher-level dimension had broken through the spatial barrier to deal with them, as that was how they had previously dealt with lower-level dimensions.

Therefore, the O'Neill family immediately sealed off that valley and kept the news contained. While the family was still deliberating on what to do, Aks’s adventurous spirit kicked in. He led a few of his strongest and most loyal subordinates through the spatial rift and emerged on a large island in the Ark Continent, the very island mentioned earlier.

When Aks arrived on the island, he felt relieved. If this spatial rift was man-made, then there must be someone on the other side; it couldn’t be an uninhabited island.

However, Aks did not immediately return home to report. He wanted to see what this continent was like, so he led a few subordinates to fly around and engage in battles. They first flew south for a while but encountered nothing. Then they flew north and coincidentally were spotted by Cai'er when they reached Flame Island.

Aks had been probing Zhao Hai, trying to glean information about the strength of the Ark Continent. If the strength of the Ark Continent was substantial, they wouldn’t wage war against it; instead, they could engage in trade. If the strength was weak, he would immediately discuss with his family to prepare for an invasion.

So upon hearing Zhao Hai discuss the strength of the Ark Continent, Aks realized their opportunity had come. The strength of the Ark Continent was so weak, and in Aks’s view, the O'Neill family had the capability to conquer it completely.
