The third prince was feeling quite pleased with himself; he was truly overjoyed. His journey so far had been smooth sailing, and the harassment teams from the Ark Continent had no impact on him whatsoever, collapsing at the slightest touch. This gave the third prince a sense of being a war god.
While the third prince was feeling good about himself, Yun Tianlei was increasingly worried. He had no idea what Zhao Hai was plotting, why they were suddenly allowed to advance so freely, and what kind of conspiracy was at play.
As an old veteran of the battlefield, Yun Tianlei knew very well that a powerful opponent wouldn’t just give them such an opportunity for no reason. However, he couldn’t figure out why Zhao Hai would do such a thing.
Although he had received intelligence about the people of the Ark Continent having relocated, Yun Tianlei didn’t take it seriously. In his view, the people from the Ark Continent had nowhere to go. They were from the higher realm of the Ark Continent; where could they migrate to? Compared to the Ark Continent, the God Realm had a better understanding of the surrounding dimensions and was well aware that there was nowhere that could accommodate all the people from the Ark Continent. Thus, Yun Tianlei considered the intelligence nothing more than a casual glance.
In addition to doubting the intelligence, Yun Tianlei was also quite disappointed in the infiltrators left behind in the Ark Continent. He couldn’t understand why, after lying in wait for so long, they would send such a baffling piece of information.
It wasn’t entirely Yun Tianlei’s fault for thinking this way. After all, they were from the divine race and had a deep understanding of the surrounding dimensions. Their inherent arrogance made them not take Zhao Hai seriously at all, even if they had suffered losses at his hands a few times.
In their minds, they simply hadn’t given Zhao Hai enough attention. As long as they focused on him, he wouldn’t stand a chance against them.
Though Yun Tianlei was very proud, he still regarded Zhao Hai with some concern. Thus, he kept pondering why Zhao Hai was acting this way. The more he couldn’t figure it out, the more anxious he became; the more anxious he was, the less he could think clearly. It had spiraled into a vicious cycle.
Now, Yun Tianlei was just hoping Fei'er would return soon with good news so that he could make the appropriate plans.
However, there was still no news from Fei'er. Yun Tianlei knew that it was impossible for her to have news so quickly, but he remained anxious.
Zhao Hai, on the other hand, was unaware of his thoughts. He was currently preparing for an offensive against the Kingdom of Light, while also arranging people at the Aklaya Mountain Defense Line. He didn’t have to send people there just yet, but Zhao Hai chose to do so anyway, since he had nothing pressing to attend to.
Besides keeping an eye on the divine race, Zhao Hai was also quite concerned about the movements of the demon clan. After the Great Demon Lord returned to the divine realm, he immediately ordered a retreat, which eased Zhao Hai’s worries. What he needed to do next was wait for news from the demon clan.
The Great Demon Lord was also handling this matter. As Berry had said, the demon clan’s desire for a good environment far exceeded Zhao Hai’s imagination.
After Zhao Hai left, the Great Demon Lord promptly returned to the demon clan’s main force. Upon arrival, he didn’t waste any time and directly ordered a retreat.
Although the demon clan members didn’t quite understand what the Great Demon Lord meant, his authority was so high that no one dared to oppose him. They quickly retreated, and fortunately, the army wasn’t far from Demon City, returning swiftly to the Demon City Subcastle.
Once they arrived back at Demon City, the Great Demon Lord called all the significant figures in the demon realm to his room, which had previously been the General's Residence.
Once everyone was seated, the Great Demon Lord glanced at them and spoke in a deep voice, “I met Zhao Hai once; he said he wanted to talk to me, so I went to see him.”
