Chapter 809: The Demon Realm and the Underworld
The Underworld, a very mysterious existence, of course, that is in relation to the Ark Continent, while the Demon Realm has some understanding of the Underworld.
It can be said that the relationship between the Underworld and the demon clan is very similar to that between the God Realm and the Ark Continent, except that it is not as strict. One could say that the Demon Realm is like the lower realm of the Underworld, but not entirely so. If a war were to break out between the two realms, the Demon Realm would not necessarily fear the people of the Underworld.
Because of this, the Demon Realm has a deep understanding of the Underworld. The power there is incredibly strong, and if the demon clan wants to defeat the Underworld, the cost would be too great.
Most importantly, the Great Demon Lord knows one characteristic of the Underworld: their black mist. Although the black mist seems unremarkable, it is actually the greatest weapon in the Underworld.
This black mist is not only highly toxic; more importantly, it can turn the dead into undead beings. The people of the Demon Realm are powerful, but if they self-destruct, Zhao Hai would find it difficult to turn them into undead beings. However, it is different in the Demon Realm; even if those people self-destruct, the black mist can turn them into liches or vengeful spirits. Hence, the Demon Realm is not afraid of the Ark Continent or the divine race, but is very fearful of the Underworld, as the Underworld is their nemesis.
Previously, there were several wars between the Underworld and the Demon Realm. Each time, the Demon Realm paid a painfully high price before driving back the people of the Underworld.
This time, however, the Underworld has come to the Ark Continent by themselves and has seized a large area. To drive them back would be exceedingly difficult. The main issue is that the Demon Realm has opened a spatial rift. Opening this rift is easy, but closing it is difficult. If this rift cannot be sealed, the people of the Underworld will eventually invade the Demon Realm. Under such circumstances, the Great Demon Lord would readily agree to Zhao Hai's proposal!
After hearing the Great Demon Lord's words, Zhao Hai finally understood the situation. He turned to the Great Demon Lord and said, “Your Majesty, now that you say this, I am relieved. You can enter this space at any time, but I hope that Your Majesty does not rush in just yet. During this time, it would be best if Your Majesty leads me to the Demon Realm first. I will take a look there, and then finally we can directly bring the demon clan members into this space while leaving those of you here in the Ark Continent to help detain some of the divine race's power, without letting them know that our two clans have reconciled. What do you think?”
The Great Demon Lord looked at Zhao Hai and said, “Do you really want to have a life-and-death struggle with the divine race?”
Zhao Hai snorted coldly, “Of course, the people the divine race has sent this time are merely from the Taurus Continent among the thirteen continents of the God Realm. However, this clan has the audacity to use the people of the Ark Continent for blood sacrifice. How could I possibly let them off?”
The Great Demon Lord took a deep breath and turned to Zhao Hai, saying, “Alright, I can agree to this matter, but it also requires some preparation. I need to go back and make proper arrangements.”
Zhao Hai nodded and said, “Good, then I will wait for Your Majesty's news. Here, take this; if you are ready, use it to contact me.” After saying that, Zhao Hai took out a bottle, which naturally contained a message fish.
The Great Demon Lord looked curiously at the little fish, and Zhao Hai explained its purpose. The Great Demon Lord couldn't help but feel even more amazed; he had not expected such a thing to exist in this world.
Soon, he realized the usefulness of this message fish. Its role in warfare would be immense. With this, commanding battles would be much more precise.
