Chapter 681: Big Shot
Zhao Hai stood under the city gate, not making too much of a show; that was not his personality. Although he was nominally the king of the Leon Empire now, he was almost completely ignorant of the affairs of the empire. He didn’t regard himself as the king of the Leon Empire; he was merely temporarily taking on this role to stabilize the empire.
He did not see himself as a big shot; in his view, he was just an ordinary person on the continent. The things he did were what everyone on the continent should be doing. The reason others did not act was simply that they lacked the assistance of space.
What Zhao Hai did not realize was that his current identity was absolutely that of a big shot across the entire continent. The city gate of the Demon City slowly opened, and to Zhao Hai's surprise, the first person to rush out was a dark mage clad in a magic robe. This man looked to be in his forties, wearing a somewhat worn black magic robe, with hair as messy as grass and a sparse beard. He looked very thin, but now he resembled an eccentric uncle who had seen a stunning little girl, his face flushed and eyes sparkling as he looked at Zhao Hai, startling him.
This person was, of course, Vigan. He was so excited that he did not expect to see the person he idolized while guarding the city wall. This made him extremely happy, and he couldn’t control his excitement.

Vigan then realized that Zhao Hai was asking for his name. He immediately bowed to Zhao Hai and excitedly said, “Respected Mr. Zhao Hai, my name is Jing Vigan, and I am a mage from the Vigan Family in the city. On behalf of the Vigan Family, I welcome your arrival. If possible, please do visit our family as a guest.”
Vigan was overly excited and without a second thought invited Zhao Hai to the Vigan Family. To him, having Zhao Hai agree to visit would be a tremendous honor for the family.
Zhao Hai looked at Vigan and was actually aware of what the Vigan Family was doing. Cai'er had been monitoring the situation in the Demon City. Zhao Hai feared that there might be people controlled by the demon clan here, which could lead to a sudden internal assault during the demon clan's offensive. However, Zhao Hai was surprised to find that there was not a single person controlled by the demon clan in the Demon City. In particular, the Vigan Family was most supportive of fighting against the demon clan, which left a deep impression on Zhao Hai.

I will go notify my family right away.” With that, he turned and ran back into the city, his speed so fast that an ordinary warrior would struggle to keep up.
Zhao Hai watched Vigan's retreating figure with a slight smile. He found this mage from the Vigan Family quite interesting. Just then, an officer walked up to Zhao Hai and saluted him, saying, “Welcome, sovereign of the Leon Empire. I am the captain of the eastern gate guards, Leonande.”
