CHAPTER SIX HUNDRED NINETEEN: AZURE DRAGON CONCH

When Zhao Hai and the others arrived at the front lines, they were taken aback. They did not expect the front lines to look like this.

The defenses of the sea tribe were completely different from those of the human race. The human defenses had walls or positions, but the sea tribe's defenses had none of these. In fact, the area was thoroughly cleaned, much more so than the typical battlefield. It was better described as a clean open space specifically used for slaughter.

Zhao Hai looked around, and indeed, there were no visible troops on either side of the defense line. Only in the center, about a thousand miles away, was there a hidden army of the sea tribe. These troops were quite unique; they did not have military camps but were instead organized into blocks, with each block typically composed of the same race. There were nearly a thousand such blocks in this area.

These formations were three-dimensional, some very close to the water's surface, while others were at the seabed, interweaving in a dizzying manner.

After Zhao Hai and the others arrived, they did not immediately join the troops on the front lines but stopped behind the defense. Zhao Hai understood Daxian's considerations; if they joined the front line now, it might cause chaos among the defense troops. If that happened, the defense could be compromised, and that was no trivial matter. A small mistake could lead to the defense being breached.

Once the reinforcements halted, Daxian arrived next to Zhao Hai's blade scale whale. Zhao Hai now understood the benefits of his identity as a dark mage; no one would disturb him. With over two million troops, since Zhao Hai appeared, the sea tribe members in the army had kept their distance. Seeing Zhao Hai's blade scale whale, they all avoided it.

Zhao Hai could only smile wryly at this situation; there was nothing he could do. Being a dark mage meant they used methods that were truly bizarre, enough to instill fear.

Seeing Daxian approach, Zhao Hai immediately moved to the head of the blade scale whale. Arriving there, he used a water magic spell to keep the seawater at bay, finally allowing the whale to open its mouth.

At that moment, Daxian arrived outside the whale, bowing to Zhao Hai, "Sir, I am here to invite you to meet General Luo Ying."

Zhao Hai nodded, "Alright, please lead the way."

Daxian nodded, mounted his steed, and walked towards the defense's formation.

Zhao Hai commanded the blade scale whale to follow behind. Daxian did not bring anyone with him, just himself and his mount. Zhao Hai was similarly accompanied only by the blade scale whale; he had already stored away the other undead beings, not wanting to parade a large group through the area unnecessarily.

Before long, the two entered the formation. Once inside, Zhao Hai realized that the sea tribe members he had seen earlier were just a small portion; within this formation, there were many varieties of sea tribes that he had never encountered before. Each sea tribe member stood still, staring curiously at Zhao Hai, who also looked back with intrigue.

Before long, they reached the center of the formation, the core area where the commander stayed. From a distance, Zhao Hai spotted a massive sea conch stationed right in the middle!

This conch was enormous, nearly a hundred meters tall, and even the opening was over thirty meters high. The conch’s body was azure, and the patterns on it resembled a massive dragon spiraling upward.

Seeing this conch, Zhao Hai was stunned, for he recognized it. This conch was famous in the sea, the azure dragon conch!

The azure dragon conch was well-known not only among the sea tribe but also within the human race. Its renown stemmed from two aspects: its defensive capabilities and its enhancement of water magic.

The growth of this azure dragon conch was quite slow, growing only one meter every ten years. A conch of this size must have existed for a thousand years, and if it were placed on the mainland, it would be considered priceless. Even among the sea tribe, its value was immeasurable.
