Chapter 5: Heaven-Defying Cheat Device
Zhao Hai took a deep breath to calm his emotions and picked up the insect-shaped staff again. The prompt sounded again: "Insect dispenser, level one, can release insects to eat crops, usage frequency, fifty times a day, can be used outside the space."
"Weed dispenser, level one, can release weeds to compete for nutrients with crops, usage frequency, fifty times a day, can be used outside the space."
Zhao Hai chuckled and put down the two staffs. These two items were indeed great tools for causing trouble.
There was nothing left in the house, so Zhao Hai walked out of the grass hut and headed toward the warehouse. He knew there must be other items inside; at the very least, he hadn't found the forage seeds that the system rewarded him with.
Soon, Zhao Hai arrived outside the warehouse. The warehouse looked very ordinary, a small grass hut with a little wooden door, nothing special at all.
Zhao Hai touched the wooden door, and he heard the prompt sound: "Warehouse, level one, can store items, with no limit on type or quantity, items must be consistent when placed in and taken out, can be used outside the space, currently stored items: forage seeds, six bags."
Zhao Hai couldn't help but think of the forage seeds. Just as the thought crossed his mind, six small cloth bags appeared before him, each labeled with the words "forage seeds."
Zhao Hai was stunned, then overjoyed. He thought about how to use this warehouse, but it turned out that just thinking about it was enough. This was fantastic!
Zhao Hai pushed against the warehouse door, but found that it wouldn't budge at all; the warehouse seemed more like a decoration, with no real utility.
He smiled slightly and turned back to the grass hut, sitting on the grass bed and quietly organizing his gains. Now that he had such a space, the first thing was that the land could be cultivated, the water was drinkable, and it could significantly speed up crop maturation time—by ten times! Plus the water would double that, making it a total of a hundred times. With this, he wouldn't have to worry about starving in the future.
The basket could also be used, as well as the shovel, the water bucket, pesticides, the insect dispenser, and the weed dispenser. These were all great tools that could be used outside the space. But most importantly, with the existence of the warehouse, it was like having a huge storage space, which made him exceedingly happy.
From Adam's memories, he learned that there were many storage tools in this world. A spatial mage could create a storage tool, but there weren't many spatial mages on the continent. So while there were quite a few storage tools, they were mostly in the hands of nobles, and ordinary people rarely had access.
Their storage tools couldn’t be compared to his warehouse; those storage tools were quite small, the largest only a few hundred cubic units, and those were already considered divine artifacts. A warehouse of this size simply didn't exist.
Moreover, storage tools on the Ark Continent couldn’t store living things, but his spatial warehouse could; it could store items of any kind.
Aside from these fixed items, he also had six bags of forage seeds and five hundred gold coins. Although the gold coins couldn't be taken out now, they could be used to buy items in the space shop, which was sufficient.
After reviewing the space introduction, Zhao Hai realized that this was similar to the basic settings of the games he used to play. Once leveled up, he could open a ranch and do more things.
Most importantly, he now had ten acres of land and an inexhaustible spring. With these two items, he could think of ways to improve the black soil in his territory. But first, he needed to plant the ten acres.
Thinking of this, Zhao Hai couldn't help but smile wryly. He had been a shut-in but was born in the city, never having farmed before; he was practically clueless about planting. Now, suddenly being asked to farm, he truly had no idea how to go about it.
