CHAPTER 412: Record Magic
Everyone knows that dual cultivation of magic and martial arts leads to poor results, ultimately resulting in both being useless. However, the power Zhao Hai displayed now was not at all inferior to that of a level 6 warrior; on the contrary, his strength was much greater than that of a level 6 warrior. If he hadn't been using magic all along, Zhu Wan might have thought Zhao Hai was a pure warrior.
Zhu Wan had already noticed Zhao Hai's age, and in his opinion, it was incredible for someone Zhao Hai's age to become a level 6 warrior.
But he quickly realized he was mistaken. Zhao Hai was only using a sword, and his sword technique was quite ordinary. Yet, one of his subordinates, a level 6 warrior, had gone from being in an advantageous position at the start to slowly losing ground.
Although Zhu Wan didn't understand martial arts very well, he still had some discernment. He was very clear that Zhao Hai was initially at a disadvantage due to his lack of experience in combat, not because of his low level.
Zhu Wan was so angry he didn't know what to say. He wasn't an idiot; at a glance, he could tell that Zhao Hai was using his subordinates for practice. However, he had no means to intervene because in front of him was a large group of undead beings staring menacingly at him.
These undead beings were all wielding weapons, clearly of a not low level, and were very close to him. At this moment, even if he wanted to cast magic, it was too late.
Suddenly, Zhao Hai and his few companions retreated, but Zhu Wan didn't have the skill to follow; instead, his expression changed. Just as he was about to tell his remaining subordinates to hold Zhao Hai back, it was already too late. Zhao Hai and his companions had stepped out of the attack range of those subordinates, while his subordinates were surrounded by Zhao Hai's undead beings.
Zhao Hai calmly held a sword, looking at Zhu Wan with a cold expression and said, "Zhu Wan, don't think that I'm afraid of you. With your abilities, I have no reason to fear. I stopped because I wanted to give Brother Smith some face. I hope you understand that I, Zhao Hai, am not a dog of your Karlqi Family, to be summoned at will. If you want to cooperate with me, show some sincerity. I'll accept the ships you brought. They will be mine from now on. I hope to cooperate with the Karlqi Family, but I hope you won't cross my bottom line."
As he spoke, Zhu Wan discovered that the eight level experts who had come with him had already been taken down by Zhao Hai, leaving only him and the steward dispatched by the family in front of him.
Naturally, Zhu Wan didn't dare to act rashly. Zhao Hai looked at him and smiled slightly, saying, "I won't kill you; rest assured. I won't touch those eight-level experts under you either, but I will take these ships. You know the rules from last time; this time will be the same as before."
Zhu Wan's expression darkened even further. He was very clear that the last time he attacked Zhao Hai, it was in the near sea, cooperating with the navy of the Roson Empire, only three days away from Tianshui City. This time, they were not collaborating with the Roson Empire’s navy, and the nearest port was seven days away by sea. If they were thrown into the sea, they would suffer greatly.
Zhao Hai, however, didn't care about that. He directly placed a rescue boat in the water and then pushed Zhu Wan and the others onto the lifeboat. However, Zhu Wan realized that the ten level eight experts who had accompanied them had been incapacitated by Zhao Hai. What surprised Zhu Wan even more was that Zhao Hai didn't kill them but instead tossed them onto the ship.
Zhu Wan looked at Zhao Hai's methods with a changed expression. He understood very well that for a level eight expert, being incapacitated and unable to use their fighting spirit and magic was worse than death. Zhao Hai's move was genuinely ruthless.
After watching Zhao Hai's ship leave, Zhu Wan's face was dark as he stared at the incapacitated level eight experts, his expression grim. He turned to his steward and said, "Throw them into the sea and tell the family that they were killed by Zhao Hai."
