CHAPTER 37: Entering the Space

Fortunately, this castle was not very big. The speed of Stone was extremely fast, and in just a few breaths, Zhao Hai and the others had already entered the room of the Main Fortress.

The room, which was originally not large, seemed extremely crowded due to the sudden influx of too many people, but thankfully, there was no chaos.

The slaves were also very aware that if they disobeyed now, the result awaiting them could be death, so they obediently entered the room under Wood's arrangement.

As soon as Zhao Hai entered the room, he immediately spoke to Merlin and the others: “Grandma Merlin, you go into the space first. When those slaves enter the space, arrange for them to not run around. Wood, Stone, guard the entrance. Meg, Ju, An, organize everyone to enter the space.”

Since Ju and An had not entered the space, Zhao Hai asked Meg to help as the organizer, while Ju and An assisted him. He let Grandma Merlin go into the space to settle those who had just entered. Stone and Wood stood guard at the door of the Main Fortress in case any magical beasts suddenly rushed in.

Then, an opening appeared next to Zhao Hai. The slaves were not unfamiliar with this opening; it was the same one that had appeared when Zhao Hai improved the land.

Zhao Hai did not want to take all these people into the space at once, but he found that when he tried to collect the slaves, the space did not respond, which surprised him.

Fortunately, when he collected Merlin, the space reacted immediately, and Merlin appeared in the space. This reassured Zhao Hai, and ultimately, he had to let the space produce an opening-like thing here to see if it could allow the slaves to enter.

The slaves were initially a bit frightened, not knowing where Zhao Hai wanted to take them. However, when they saw that Merlin had already entered, they understood that Zhao Hai would not harm them, and they quickly began to enter the opening under Meg's organization.

At this time, roars of magical beasts were already coming from the Outer Fortress, and the iron gate of the castle was being slammed with a loud noise. Merlin organized the process even faster. Fortunately, the opening Zhao Hai created this time was quite large, enough for four people to enter side by side, allowing the slaves to enter the space in an orderly manner.

Before long, all the slaves had entered the space. Meg, Ju, and An also went in. With a thought from Zhao Hai, he appeared in the space alongside Wood and Stone.

The slaves who had just entered the space looked around in disbelief, but Zhao Hai did not pay them any mind. He noticed that the radishes were already ripe, but he did not have time to harvest them. Standing in the space, he loudly addressed the slaves: “Listen carefully, this is my space. Do not wander around here. Now find a place to sit down, and be careful not to step on the crops in the ground.”

Fortunately, besides the cultivated land, there were some empty areas in the space that could not be planted. Zhao Hai had tried to turn that land with a small shovel, but it reacted just like in the game—there was no response.

Although the slaves did not understand what this space was about, they obediently sat down. Zhao Hai glanced at the slaves and then turned to Grandma Merlin: “Grandma Merlin, in a moment I'll bring out some empty cups for you to distribute. If anyone wants to drink water, let them go to the spring and drink by themselves. Also, bring out some blankets for them to sit on.”

After saying that, he walked to the warehouse. With a thought, a large pile of cups appeared in front of the warehouse door. These cups were wooden water cups, the kind that was very cheap, specifically bought by Galen for these slaves.

Originally, these slaves had been allocated such cups, but due to the urgency of the situation, they did not bring their belongings in, so they could only be given out again.

Merlin immediately led Meg and the others to distribute the cups. Following that, Zhao Hai also took out many blankets and laid them on the ground for the slaves to sit on.
