CHAPTER 330: Yilin

Several people were chatting in the living room, and before they knew it, it was already time for dinner. Their conversation mostly revolved around the dark mage alliance. Zhao Hai was a new member and didn't know much about the alliance, so he took this opportunity to learn from the two.

The two didn’t hide anything from him; it turned out that Robbie was able to join the dark mage alliance thanks to Ibel. The two had a good relationship, and during a conversation, Ibel tested Robbie's attitude towards dark mages. To his surprise, Robbie had no aversion to dark mages and was quite displeased with the arrogance of the church of light. After several interactions, Ibel finally managed to recruit Robbie into the alliance.

As Zhao Hai listened to the two, he felt a bit incredulous. According to their words, it was as if they were talking about developing new party members, which seemed quite miraculous.

However, with the situation laid out before him, he couldn't help but believe it. In the end, Zhao Hai fully accepted their explanation, and the two shared more information about the alliance, significantly increasing Zhao Hai's understanding of it.

During dinner, they all went to the restaurant, where Fernand also came out to join them for drinks. Fernand had come to realize that although he was a rogue, he wasn't foolish. He had been overwhelmed by his emotions earlier, but after returning home and thinking it through, he understood that he had been played by Ryan.

Even though he realized he had been schemed against, it didn't make him feel too bad. Regardless, he had lost out this time, which made him quite uncomfortable. During dinner, it was Robbie who sent someone to call him out.

Once they were seated, Robbie pulled out a bottle of fruit wine he had brought. Upon seeing it, Ibel quickly stopped him, saying, "No, keep that for yourself. Today, we should drink Wells' wine. Wells, bring it out!"

Since Fernand was present, Robbie didn’t want him to know Zhao Hai’s identity, so he continued to refer to Zhao Hai as Wells. This was not because Robbie wanted to keep Zhao Hai away from Fernand; he was actually looking out for Zhao Hai.

Zhao Hai's identity was something that could not be revealed in the Aksu Empire; the fewer people knew about it, the better. Although Fernand wasn't stupid, he was impulsive and could act recklessly. If he were to spill Zhao Hai's identity, it would impact Ivan, Ibel, and Robbie, so Robbie decided not to mention it to him.

Robbie curiously looked at Zhao Hai, who smiled and said, "Alright, let me offer a taste of my wine; this can be my apology to Brother Fernand." Saying this, he flipped his hand and produced a large leather pouch.

Fernand no longer dared to underestimate Zhao Hai. So far, the entire Iksa family hadn't even acquired a spatial equipment, yet Zhao Hai clearly had one. In this continent, possessing spatial equipment was definitely a symbol of status, and now he genuinely struggled to pinpoint Zhao Hai’s identity.

Zhao Hai didn’t care about Fernand’s expression; he took out the wine pouch and poured each of them a cup of milk wine. After placing the pouch down, he raised his glass and said to Fernand, "Brother Fernand, I was too impulsive today and may have offended you. Please drink this cup as an apology from me."

Upon hearing Zhao Hai say this, Fernand felt a bit embarrassed and quickly raised his glass in response, saying, "Brother, you’re too polite. Today’s incident was my fault, please, you go ahead." The two clinked glasses and downed their drinks.

Zhao Hai was used to this wine, but it was Fernand’s first time drinking such strong liquor. After downing the cup, he was left coughing and his face turned red.

Zhao Hai smiled slightly and poured himself another cup, then turned to Robbie, saying, "Your Excellency, today’s incident was my fault, and I’m sorry to trouble you. Please drink this cup."

Robbie, watching Fernand’s reaction, was a bit puzzled. He knew very well his son's drinking capacity. Although Fernand wasn’t good at many things, he was definitely better than Robbie when it came to drinking and women. Seeing Fernand get drunk from one cup made Robbie wonder how he would hold up.
