Chapter 312: Show Off

On the road leading to Casa City, a peculiar convoy was slowly advancing. The strangeness of this convoy was due to the fact that it consisted of only two vehicles. The one in front was clearly a luxury carriage made from the rare Holy Light Wood, its design simple and elegant, unlike the typical carriages used by the Church of Light. It was evident that it was crafted by the hands of an old noble family.

Most importantly, this carriage bore a hint of exotic flavor; its style was not entirely of human craftsmanship, as it seemed to incorporate some techniques from the orc tribe.

Orc craftsmanship differs from that of humans. In human regions, resources are abundant, so when making carriages, they often use a lot of iron nails or metal parts. However, orcs do not have such resources; they lack iron, so their carriages predominantly rely on wooden interlocking techniques, with very few metal components. A knowledgeable observer could easily tell the difference.

The carriage currently on the road showcased a significant amount of this orc-style wooden interlocking craftsmanship. An expert would immediately recognize that this carriage was quite different from human carriages.

The magical beast pulling the carriage was equally perplexing. It looked like a Mighty Bull, but one with horns so large that one side measured nearly two meters long. The bull simply lowered its head as it walked forward, taking up nearly four meters of roadway.

In addition to the Holy Light Wood, the carriage was also covered with orc-made blankets. This pure white felt, if one had ever visited the Orc Prairie, would be recognized as a vital material used by orcs for making tents.

Driving this carriage was a warrior dressed in plain warrior attire, carrying a double-edged axe on his back. He sat calmly as he guided the carriage.

Following closely behind was a very ordinary Mighty Bull cart, large and loaded with various items, with a servant sitting on it to drive.

Pedestrians along the road couldn’t help but glance at this peculiar vehicle. They were curious about its unique shape, and just by looking at the carriage, it was clear that a person of status was inside, so no one dared to disturb it.

This carriage belonged to Zhao Hai. It had been modified from the vehicle that Lindsay Beck and the others originally used. With many members of the Giant Horned Mighty Bull Tribe involved in the modifications, it bore many marks of orc craftsmanship. Due to the winter chill, plenty of blankets had been used for warmth.

The driver of the carriage was Xu Wanying, who had nearly grasped the situation in Iron Mountain. He had also taken the time over the past few days to inform Galen and the others about the conditions in Iron Mountain. Seeing that Xu Wanying had nothing to do at Iron Mountain Fortress, Zhao Hai decided to bring him along as a driver.

Xu Wanying had no objections; he had complete faith in his young master's abilities and gladly accepted the job of driving.

Meanwhile, the other driver, Wood, had also reached the level of a level 6 warrior and was on the verge of breaking through to level 7. At this time, mere training was insufficient, so Zhao Hai assigned them the task of driving the supply cart behind.

The two looked identical, so Zhao Hai decided to have one drive while the other waited in the space, ready to swap at any moment.

Both were thrilled; they had spent much of their time either in the space or at Iron Mountain Fortress with no opportunities to go out. Being young, they were eager for excitement, and this was a great opportunity they wouldn’t miss.

The cart driven by Wood contained various ordinary supplies, including food that looked like provisions for long-distance travelers, which further piqued the curiosity of people on the road.

Zhao Hai’s cart wasn’t taking the road from the Black Earth Wilderness to Casa City but rather the one from the Orc Prairie to Casa City, which gave rise to numerous associations about the decorations and items inside.
