Chapter 193: Ninth-Level Giant Mosquito
Zhao Hai let out a sigh of relief. He felt a great deal of apprehension towards the soul-eating blood mosquito. If it weren't for their rarity and swift disappearance, it would be impossible for them to be rated as only an eighth-level magical beast in terms of destructive power, while the soul-eating blood mosquito itself was categorized as merely a second-level magical beast.
However, the difficulty of dealing with these soul-eating blood mosquitoes was indeed greater than that of an ordinary eighth-level magical beast. Some people believed that a swarm of soul-eating blood mosquitoes should actually be rated as ninth-level.
With such strength, not to mention that the phantom beast flying eagle couldn't handle them, even Galen would struggle. If there were no spatial existence, facing these soul-eating blood mosquitoes could very well mean Galen would be exhausted to death in the end.
Zhao Hai immediately asked Buffy, but Buffy said that he hadn't encountered any soul-eating blood mosquitoes the last time he came, which made Zhao Hai feel a bit uneasy.
However, there was no time to dwell on that now. Even though they saw the flying eagle disappear, the blood mosquitoes did not stop and continued to flutter around. It seemed they wouldn't leave anytime soon.
With a thought, Zhao Hai released the flying eagle that had just been recalled into the space once again, and this flying eagle was still carrying the Evil Spirit Staff.
As soon as it was released from the space, Zhao Hai immediately said in a deep voice, “Release the insecticide.” A cloud of green mist sprayed out from the Evil Spirit Staff once again. This time, unlike the last, the insecticide proved to be effective against the soul-eating blood mosquitoes. As soon as those mosquitoes came into contact with the insecticide, they swayed in mid-air as if drunk, before plummeting to the ground.
The green mist increased, and the soul-eating blood mosquitoes fell from the sky like rain. As the flying eagle accelerated, the number of mosquitoes dropping increased, and the screen eventually cleared.
Zhao Hai and Galen breathed a sigh of relief. To be honest, the overwhelming presence of the soul-eating blood mosquitoes was incredibly stressful. Now that they saw a method to deal with them, they finally felt a sense of ease.
It seemed the blood mosquitoes realized something was wrong and began to steer clear of the insecticide, suddenly making their path ahead clear.
Before long, the flying eagle broke free from the encirclement of the blood mosquitoes, and to Zhao Hai and the others' surprise, the blood mosquitoes did not pursue. It seemed they were genuinely afraid of the insecticide.
Now, Zhao Hai and the others felt reassured, but they still kept their eyes on the screen, worried that the soul-eating blood mosquitoes might come back. Thankfully, ever since they left the area where the blood mosquitoes were, they had not pursued again.
Zhao Hai and Galen finally sat back on the sofa, looking at the screen. Galen smiled and said, “I really didn't expect to encounter soul-eating blood mosquitoes here. Thankfully, if it weren't for the spatial existence, we might have failed.”
Zhao Hai chuckled, “If we hadn't encountered these mosquitoes, we wouldn't have gained so many benefits. Haha, now we have soul-eating blood mosquitoes, adding another means of survival.”
Galen laughed and said, “Yeah, but we shouldn't use these soul-eating blood mosquitoes lightly. They have a fearsome reputation on the continent, and if we use them, it could lead to major troubles.”
Zhao Hai nodded, “Indeed, while the blood mosquitoes are powerful, they cannot compare to ninth-level experts. However, they are very useful for large-scale attacks.”
Just as they were talking, the flying eagle suddenly let out a shriek and plummeted from the sky. While still in the air, its body exploded, turning into a cloud of blood mist that vanished.
The Evil Spirit Staff also fell from the sky, but before it reached the ground, it surprisingly floated forward.
