Chapter 165: Thoughts on Traveling

Zhao Hai has now realized that the land in his spatial area is somewhat insufficient. Currently, he is planting nut oil, bamboo rice, corn, and radishes, leaving no idle time to grow other things. Zhao Hai thought that if the black soil in the Black Earth Wilderness were of good quality after improvement, he could use the land there to plant nut oil and other crops, thereby freeing up space for other activities.

When Zhao Hai was improving the land, he did not use the land in his spatial area. He noticed that even if he used the spatial land for improvement, the black soil would not be remarkably better; merely using spatial water for improvements wouldn't yield poor results either. The main concern for Zhao Hai was that using spatial soil to improve the external land might thin out the land in his space, which would be disastrous for him.

Zhao Hai had seen the spatial water; it seemed like a spring that would continuously gush out regardless of how much was drawn. It appeared that it wouldn’t dry up.

In fact, Zhao Hai knew that the spatial rules allowed for the use of spatial soil to improve land, which meant the spatial soil wouldn't risk being depleted. However, due to psychological reasons, he ultimately decided to use spatial water for land improvement.

During this period, Zhao Hai has been busy improving the external land while also managing affairs in his spatial area, making his days very fulfilling.

The main thing is that Zhao Hai is currently waiting for Buffy to emerge; as soon as Buffy is injured and comes out, they won’t hold back.

Zhao Hai's thoughts on dealing with Buffy, besides seeking revenge, also stemmed from a desire to understand the situation in the Corpse Swamp. Zhao Zui and the others took too long to scout the Corpse Swamp, which is filled with numerous magical beasts and undead beings. These creatures have territories, and since Zhao Zui and his team could only walk on the ground, they would have to traverse the territories of other magical beasts or undead beings, inevitably encountering attacks, making their progress exceedingly slow.

Buffy, on the other hand, is different; he is a ninth-level expert who can fly, thus avoiding most attacks from magical beasts and undead beings, allowing him to delve deeper into the Corpse Swamp. If he really gets injured and runs out, Zhao Hai could eliminate him, turning him into an undead being, thereby gaining insights into the situation within the Corpse Swamp. This would be advantageous for him to tackle the magical beast tide there.

Zhao Hai is no longer overly concerned about the Versailles Family. With Ivan in power, Ivan does not seem to harbor any hostility towards them and is unlikely to send anyone after them. The only thing troubling Zhao Hai is the situation in the Corpse Swamp; it has been the biggest concern in his mind.

Zhao Hai does not want to remain in the Black Earth Wilderness for his entire life, but he cannot feel at ease until the issues in the Corpse Swamp are resolved. Only by addressing those problems can he travel safely across the continent and explore this extraordinary world.

Although Zhao Hai lived as a recluse in his previous life, he always had a dream of traveling the world one day. Unfortunately, he lacked the money required for such travels at that time.

However, upon arriving at the Ark Continent, things were different. He now has a spatial area and a large territory. As long as he manages everything well, he can travel across the world. After all, with the spatial area, he can almost return to his territory daily without worry.

But now is not the right time; he wants to resolve the situation in the Corpse Swamp first before setting out to explore. Galen does not oppose his thoughts; in fact, on the continent, no matter which prominent family, their young members typically venture out for training at a certain age. Zhao Hai should go as well, but now is simply not the right moment.

Noble youths traveling not only increases their knowledge and experience, but they also have the opportunity to make good friends and understand the malevolence of human nature. There’s a saying on the continent that goes well: “A child who has never left home will never truly grow up.”
