CHAPTER THIRTEEN: Changes in Mindset

Zhao Hai looked at the two people's expressions and couldn't help but feel speechless. It seemed that they weren't completely foolish; they were actually afraid that he might be deceiving them. It looked like he could only bring them into the spatial farm. However, this was fine; they would have to know about the spatial farm sooner or later, so he might as well bring them in now.

Zhao Hai smiled wryly and said, "Alright, put down your swords. Aren't you tired holding them? When you're ready, we'll go in." With that, he cast a spell, and in an instant, the three of them disappeared from their spot and reappeared in the spatial farm.

Wood and Stone stared blankly at everything in the spatial farm. They saw the radishes that had already grown in the fields, the several thatched houses, and a pile of items in front of the houses.

Seeing that the two were still holding onto their swords, Zhao Hai patted their shoulders and said, "Put down your swords. Haven't we already arrived?"

Wood and Stone suddenly came back to their senses and unconsciously let go of their swords. They didn't dare disobey Zhao Hai's words; at this moment, they felt that what Zhao Hai said was like a royal decree, and they had to comply.

Zhao Hai also sensed the change in their attitudes. It seemed as though they had started to treat him like a master, which surprised him.

However, he didn't think too much about it. He carefully examined the growth of the radishes and glanced at the items in the houses. There were no changes; he only had two hundred gold coins left, and he remembered that while playing the game, it often automatically refreshed weeds and pests, which were the greatest enemies to crop growth.

Fortunately, there were no such things growing in the fields now, which was why Zhao Hai had to come and check. Although he received notifications when the radishes matured, he wasn't sure if the farm would notify him when weeds or pests appeared.

These radishes represented money, and if he wanted to live well here, he needed money—lots and lots of it. So he couldn't afford any mistakes.

Wood and Stone still followed Zhao Hai as usual, but their mindset had changed significantly. Previously, they only listened to Galen, but after arriving here, Galen's status in their hearts was far below that of Zhao Hai. Now, everything revolved around Zhao Hai.

Zhao Hai was unaware that this space was a mutated one, and everything here belonged to them. However, the space was designed for upgrades, and since his level was too low, he needed to upgrade. Once his level increased, the space would completely belong to him.

Because this space entirely belonged to him, anything he brought into it would automatically recognize him as the master. His commands were absolute; in this space, he was like a god. That was why Wood and Stone had such thoughts.

Zhao Hai had not discovered this yet; he merely conducted a careful inspection of the space to see if there were any changes. There were none—everything was normal. Although he had leveled up, he hadn't gained anything besides a few seeds.

However, Zhao Hai wasn't discouraged. Although he didn't have many gold coins left, he could still plant another batch of radishes. If he harvested this batch and Galen hadn't returned by then, he would have to buy some radishes first and then use that money to plant more.

It wasn't that Zhao Hai didn't want to plant other crops, but he understood too little about the vegetables in this world. He was afraid that if he planted something else, he wouldn't be able to sell it. Right now, he was in a state of primitive accumulation; if he ended up with unsellable crops, his funds would be tied up, which was unacceptable at this time.

Since radishes were easy to sell in this world, he would plant radishes—that was the safest approach. Zhao Hai couldn't afford any mistakes, as it not only concerned his own life but also the future of the entire budah family.

Zhao Hai was well aware that he had not only inherited Adam Buddha's body but also the budah family and the responsibility that came with it. Therefore, he preferred to seek stability and maintain a low profile rather than take any wrong steps that might alert others to their movements. If they were discovered, they might even lose their lives.
