Chapter 121: Discussion on Cooperation (Part 3)

Zhao Hai nodded and said, “Mr. Kun Zheng, do you know how much oil a livestock-powered oil press can produce in a day?”

Kun Zheng replied, “Generally, a machine can produce about a thousand jin of oil a day, of course, this output can only be achieved with continuous operation day and night.”

Zhao Hai nodded and said, “The oil yield is quite decent. I wonder how much this oil press costs?”

Kun Zheng answered, “The price isn’t expensive, it’s a hundred gold coins per unit. The main function of this oil press is to extract fruit oil, and fruit oil is quite cheap; if it were too expensive, no one would buy it.”

Zhao Hai nodded and turned to Laura, saying, “Miss Laura, when you come to collect the magic radish next time, could you please bring me five livestock-powered oil presses? I hope that’s convenient for you?”

Laura quickly nodded, “Of course, that’s no trouble at all. Please don’t worry, I will definitely prepare them for you. These five machines can be considered a gift from me to you.”

Zhao Hai smiled slightly, “Miss Laura is being too polite. Now that we are allies and in a cooperative relationship, we should keep the accounts clear. The cost of the five oil presses can be deducted from the payment for the magic radishes. If I ever need Miss Laura's assistance in the future, I certainly won’t hold back.”

Upon hearing Zhao Hai say this, Laura felt it wouldn’t be appropriate to object, so she just nodded, “Alright, please rest assured, I will ensure the items arrive on time in three days.”

Zhao Hai smiled slightly and turned to Galen, saying, “Go have them prepare a few firefly fish for Miss Laura as a gift from me.” He then turned to Laura and added, “I noticed Miss Laura seems to really like firefly fish; there aren’t many fully grown ones yet, so I hope you won’t mind receiving a few.”

Laura didn’t refuse; after all, a few firefly fish weren't worth much. Being overly polite would seem disingenuous. She smiled and said, “Thank you, sir. To be honest, I really enjoy firefly fish, so I consider myself fortunate this time.”

Zhao Hai smiled slightly and continued, “By the way, Miss Laura, I’d like to ask if you have a market for Blue-eyed Rabbits?”

Laura was taken aback for a moment but quickly remembered that Zhao Hai had bought three hundred Blue-eyed Rabbits not long ago. Clearly, he was considering raising them. However, Laura hadn’t had much contact with Blue-eyed Rabbits.

Thinking of this, Laura furrowed her brow and said, “We really haven’t done business with Blue-eyed Rabbits. However, we do have some dealings with a few meat processing factories and can help inquire for you.”

Zhao Hai nodded, “Then I’d trouble you, Miss Laura. I plan to set up a breeding farm to raise animals that ordinary people can afford, like Blue-eyed Rabbits, long-haired pigs, and scaleless fish. I already have Blue-eyed Rabbit breeding stock, but still need to acquire long-haired pigs and scaleless fish fry. I’d appreciate it if you could keep an eye out for those.”

Laura nodded, “That’s no problem. I’ll let you know as soon as I have any news. Since you’re looking to operate so many different types, it seems we at Majidel Trading Company will have to expand our offerings as well.”

The Ark Continent has many meat processing factories that produce items like fire legs or canned goods. Fire legs aren’t very expensive, but special ones can only be afforded by nobles. Canned goods are generally consumed by the common people or supplied directly to the military in large quantities.

Although Laura doesn’t help with the meat processing business, her shop sells many canned products and fire legs, which naturally leads her to know some people from those factories. These meat processing facilities need to source magical beasts for their products, and they can't rely solely on collecting from commoners’ homes; they need ranches to supply them.
