Chapter 533: Reacquisition of the Blessing (Part 1) ✨

While everyone in the workshop was searching for something, I focused on making amulets. Amulets for commoners had to be made using the materials available in the library’s workshop. Considering the amount I needed to distribute to families in the downtown area and to Gutenberg and his group, quite a lot was required. If I were to hand them out when calling the Guild Master, Gilberta Trading Company, and Plantin Trading Company, I couldn’t leave the Guild Master out.

“I’ve made some extra amulets, so this should be enough.”

After dedicating myself to making amulets for commoners—something I rarely prioritized over reading—I carried the items needed for the ceremony into the temple. Tomorrow was the reacquisition of the blessing.

“Lady Rosemine, I reacquired mine after the graduation ceremony, so I won’t participate in tomorrow’s ritual and will head to training instead.”

“I also reacquired it, so I intend to work in the castle.”

I nodded at Leonore and Liselotte’s words and turned to Judith.

“What will you do, Judith?”

“I think my prayers aren’t sufficient yet, so I’ll sit this one out. I can go to training, or if a Guard Knight is needed, I’ll head to the temple.”

“There are plenty of Guard Knights, so please go to training. …I should also call Otilier and Brynhildr.”

I sent ordnance to both of them, but Otilier hadn’t been praying much until now, and Brynhildr seemed very busy with interactions with Greschel and arranging attendant training. Brynhildr said she would perform the reacquisition ritual after her graduation ceremony and was sitting this one out.

“But Grethia, who offered her name to me, must attend forcibly, so make sure to come to the temple.”

“Understood.”

It is speculated that Roderich’s acquisition of all attributes might be due to the name offering, but there is no confirmation yet. This time, after the adult group, the name-offering group will also reacquire their blessings.

...I wonder if Mother will come too?

If Mother can come to the temple, we can investigate whether changing the name-offering lord affects the acquired blessing. Muliera will have to undergo the ritual multiple times, but I want to check if possible. When I asked Mother about her schedule through ordnance, she replied, “I can come in the afternoon.”

“Let’s get a new recipe for sweets. Since Cornelius graduated, we can’t get any new recipes anymore.”

For my crafty mother, I decided to prepare the recipe for mousse, which was this year’s reward.

The next day, before the third bell rang, all the close aides who would conduct the ritual had already gathered. I opened the door to the head priest’s office workshop, handed out mana stones needed for entry and exit, and prepared to transport magic circles and other items.

“Lady Rosemine, shall we carry these to the chapel?”

“Yes, Fran. I’ve instructed Hartmut to head to the chapel after finishing his duties, so please transport the items there. I want it to be as similar as possible to the noble academy.”

Since it was heavy work, not only Fran but also Gil and Fritz were called from the workshop to help carry the loads. Soon, Hartmut’s close aides joined, and the items were swiftly moved out.

“Monica, have you informed the orphanage?”

“Yes. They’ve been told not to enter the chapel today.”

I had to watch over those coming in and out of the workshop, so I left preparations to Hartmut and Darmel. The clerics Muliera, Roderich, and Filine were assistants.

After all the items were moved out, I retrieved the mana stone brooches I had given to the aides, closed the workshop door, and headed to the chapel. As instructed earlier, Hartmut and the others were preparing there.

Cloth and fruits were adorning the altar, incense was lit in the burner, and the faint fragrance could be sensed. A red cloth was spread facing the altar, with a large piece of cloth bearing a magic circle laid out. Unlike the embroidered magic circles I saw at the noble academy, this one was drawn in ink. Even Ferdinand didn’t feel like embroidering it.
