Chapter 30: The White Skirt Girl
As the sun set in the west and rose in the east, Tan Yun cursed breathlessly while holding the white skirt girl, “Damn it! This beast has chased us for at least two thousand eight hundred miles, and it’s still chasing us!”
Drops of sweat as large as beans rolled down his forehead and fell onto the white skirt girl’s cheeks, which were covered in dirt, making it impossible to discern her features.

If he really had to leave her behind, she would undoubtedly die, and it would be better if he hadn’t saved her in the first place!
“You must be tired, right?” The white skirt girl looked at Tan Yun gratefully, her rosy lips parting to reveal a row of exquisite white teeth.
“It's fine, don’t worry, we’ll be okay,” Tan Yun replied without lowering his gaze from the snowy domain demon ape that was a mile away as he continued to flee.
Suddenly, he felt a cool sensation on his forehead; it was the severely injured white skirt girl, trembling as she used her delicate, boneless right hand to wipe the sweat from his face.
“Thank you.” A slight smile crossed Tan Yun’s pale face, then he lowered his head to look at the white skirt girl and said, “I didn’t purchase a map jade tablet before heading to the Snowy Domain Fierce Valley, and now I feel a bit lost. The elder supreme will announce important matters in two days; we must hurry back.”
“Hmm.” The white skirt girl nodded and said, “If I’m not mistaken, the teleportation array is four thousand miles to the north of here.”
Just as she finished speaking, a roar filled with unwillingness suddenly came from behind them.
Tan Yun turned around abruptly and, upon seeing the distant scene, felt a wave of relief wash over him as he laughed heartily.
It turned out that the snowy domain demon ape had collapsed into the snow, and after getting up, it roared at Tan Yun before turning to leave in defeat, clearly giving up the pursuit!
“Hehe, great! It gave up!” The white skirt girl giggled, her laughter ringing in Tan Yun's ears, lingering for a long time.
After laughing, she said softly, “You should put me down and rest for a bit.”
“That beast isn’t dumb; we can’t let our guard down,” Tan Yun replied as he held the white skirt girl and turned into a series of afterimages, quickly weaving through the snow peaks. After an hour, he finally stopped and walked toward a clear stream.
After gently placing the white skirt girl on the bank, he bent down to drink water when he noticed her squatting on a rock, cleaning her dusty face.
After a few breaths, as Tan Yun was about to stand up, he suddenly froze, captivated by the reflection of her beauty in the water, and couldn't help but exclaim, “So beautiful!”
She clearly heard Tan Yun's words and paused for a moment, quickly tidying herself up before standing, looking at her tattered white skirt covered in blood, then glancing at a dense area of the Purple Bamboo Forest not far away, she whispered, “Junior Brother, I’m going to the Purple Bamboo Forest to bandage my wounds. Can you wait for me here? And no looking back.”
“Okay.” Tan Yun responded without lifting his head.
As he heard her footsteps fade away, he awkwardly sat down on the bank to rest...
A moment later.
“I’m done, we can set off now.” A melodious female voice floated from behind him. Tan Yun stood up and turned back, his expression revealing a strong sense of astonishment as he became momentarily dazed.
Before him stood the girl in a brand new white skirt that touched the ground, with wide sleeves embroidered with pink patterns, and her arms draped in a long purple gauze. Her slender waist was cinched with an emerald green ribbon, accentuating her graceful figure.
