Chapter 160: Frozen for Three Thousand Miles (Second Update!)

At the White Sand Ferry.

The waves of the White Sand River surged violently, right before their eyes. It was at least a thousand feet wide, and this ferry was where the water flowed more gently.

There was a group of people dressed in yellow robes bustling about, those were members of the Huang Family. Another group, clad in black clothing, were from the Xiao Clan.

The two major families had numerous conflicts and often engaged in battles, but at this ferry, they maintained a truce. Seeing a batch of big clients arriving, two yellow-robed men and two black-clad men approached simultaneously.

“Are you all looking to cross the river?” The middle-aged man in yellow looked at the five people in front of him, then at the one hundred thirty-odd horses and fifteen large carts behind them, appearing somewhat hesitant.

If all these were to be transported across the river, neither family would be able to handle it. This was just a small ferry after all… The four exchanged glances, and each had the same idea: cooperation.

“Cut the crap! Did we come to this barren place just to pick a son-in-law?” Wanrenjie rolled his eyes and said rudely.

“This senior… should think carefully before speaking.” The Xiao Clan's spokesperson said coldly.

Wanrenjie grinned wickedly, and with a single motion, he slapped the Xiao Clan member, who was three feet away, sending him tumbling to the ground: “Little brat! I’ll use your face to consider!”

Clang, clang! The yellow-robed and black-clad members both drew their swords.

Wanrenjie crossed his arms, sneering, while Cheng Duying and Bao Buhuan approached with malicious smiles: “What’s the matter? Want to fight?”

Chu Yang sensed the trouble brewing and hurriedly jumped out of the cart.

At that moment, Chu Divine Doctor regretted his decision.

Having these three brothers around was like bringing along three enormous troubles. As long as they were around, even without issues, trouble would find them.

These were three individuals who thrived on chaos.

Except for their respect and care for Chu Yang, and somewhat of a fear for Chu Le'er, they did not care for anyone else, not even the King of Heaven.

They were here to get a boat across the river, yet before three sentences were completed, they were ready to draw blades and spill blood.

“Uh, everyone, please don’t be angry.” Chu Yang, dressed in a black robe, appeared graceful, his face like a crown jewel, and as he stepped out of the cart, everyone felt a sudden brightness.

With his hands behind his back, he projected the demeanor of a young master, smiling as he said, “We are all on the same side, no need for misunderstandings.” As he spoke, he slightly raised his eyes, meeting theirs head-on, his smile friendly yet condescending.

“Who is this young master?” The Huang Family member looked at Chu Yang with suspicion.

“My surname is Chu.” Chu Yang replied indifferently, “Is Young Master Huang Xialiu better now?”

“So it’s Chu Divine Doctor!” The Huang Family man immediately showed respect, kneeling with his sword: “I didn’t realize it was Chu Divine Doctor here; Huang Dadao pays his respects to the Divine Doctor.”

Chu Yang was stunned.

He didn’t expect such treatment from the Huang Family.

“What Chu Divine Doctor…” The black-clad man got up from the ground, furious: “Give me…”

“Wait! Brother Xiao.” Huang Dadao hurriedly jumped in, pulling him aside and whispering a few words in his ear; the black-clad man still looked disgruntled, but after Huang Dadao said a few more words, he finally reluctantly nodded.

With a wave of his hand, he led the black-clad man away.

Huang Dadao approached respectfully: “Chu Divine Doctor, I’ve already rented a boat from the Xiao Clan, but if all these things are to be transported, we might need two trips…”

“It’s fine, two trips are fine.” Chu Yang replied, “Huang Dadao, are there any horses you fancy? Leaving a few wouldn’t hurt.”
