CHAPTER 101: Killing in the Southeast, Did You Ask Me?
Chu Tenghu was a person devoid of any humanity, like a venomous snake that would send shivers down anyone's spine upon sight.
But just then, Chu Tenghu halted, turned around, and plopped down to his knees, saying, "I am willing to serve Thirteenth Master!"
Ye Wubo's eyes held a deeper suspicion as he asked, "Are you sincere?"
Chu Tenghu replied, "Yes! I am willing to serve Thirteenth Master, running errands and doing any tasks necessary!"
"Why?"
"Life is all about power and beauty! There are many things that others cannot provide; they must be fought for! Now that Thirteenth Master has given me this opportunity, I will not let it slip away!" Chu Tenghu declared.
"I am your father's enemy!" Ye Wubo stared coldly at him.
"I killed my father!" Chu Tenghu answered.
Ye Wubo gazed at him for a long moment, then waved his hand, saying, "You can go."
Chu Tenghu respectfully bowed several times, saying, "I am always ready to serve Thirteenth Master." He then retreated backwards.
Watching Chu Tenghu leave, the elderly man with a goatee remarked, "Thirteenth Master, you are just going to let him leave like that?"
"Yes," Ye Wubo said, gazing absentmindedly in the direction Chu Tenghu had just gone.
"This kid... is too dangerous!" The elderly man shivered involuntarily, feeling a deep chill. "He killed his own father and biological brother without hesitation..."
"This kid is talented. If he can survive in the future, he will certainly become a heroic overlord!" Ye Wubo said solemnly. "He was just a useless fool before, but today, he has truly awakened his heroic nature. Such talent would be a pity to kill."
"But Thirteenth Master, you are his father's enemy!" the elderly man argued.
"In the hearts of such people, there is no enemy for killing their father!" Ye Wubo replied coldly. "If one day he becomes powerful enough to surpass me, he will strike at me without hesitation. But until he grows his wings, he will be more obedient than a dog in front of me!"
Ye Wubo's eyes gleamed with a sinister light. "If this kid is used well, he would be a mad dog! And a mad dog that is incredibly obedient!"
"This mad dog is more useful than Chu Feilong," Ye Wubo concluded gravely.
The elderly man hesitated for a moment before saying, "Thirteenth Master, I feel... the matter regarding Chu Feilong isn't so simple."
"Oh?" Ye Wubo inquired.
The elderly man continued hesitantly, "At that time... we were all furious—Thirteenth Master, you were too... But throughout the entire process, we never gave Chu Feilong a chance to defend himself... we just let him die. Now that I think about it... it seems a bit... thoughtless."
Ye Wubo frowned and contemplated.
"If Chu Feilong really had ulterior motives, why would he let his son lead Chu Yang here?" the elderly man stated. "This point is quite puzzling."
"Are you saying that I was too trusting of one-sided words?" Ye Wubo asked slowly. After his outburst of rage, he seemed to feel a bit empty inside; his anger had subsided with Chu Feilong's death, and his mind was growing clearer now. He pondered, "It does seem... somewhat improper..."
As he spoke, he began to think carefully, slowly saying, "Could there be lies beneath the Triple Soul Seizing Technique?"
This question was one no one could answer.
Because the Triple Soul Seizing Technique could only be cultivated by direct descendants of the Ye Family. Although the other four knew of its tremendous power, they did not understand how the technique truly worked.
Ye Wubo pondered over it, going through it in his mind, saying, "The Ye Family has existed for thousands of years, and the Triple Soul Seizing Technique has always been a powerful tool! It has never failed... How could there be a mistake?"
"Absolutely no mistake!" Ye Wubo's gaze hardened as he looked at the elderly man, suddenly raising his voice, "To have such thoughts and to doubt my casting is utterly unacceptable!"
Although Ye Wubo was clever, he was also stubborn; at this moment, any slight doubts in his heart were completely overshadowed by his strong confidence.
