Chapter 52: Family Reunion [Fifth Update!]

The two old gentlemen were far away and didn't hear a thing; they were caught up in a fierce brawl, throwing punches and kicks at each other.

Old Master Chu had sharp eyes and, in the middle of the chaos, turned around just in time to see Chu Yang standing in front of Old Madam Yang. This brought him immense joy, and he hurriedly exclaimed, “He’s back! He’s back…”

In his moment of surprise, he momentarily lost focus and was immediately hit in the face by Yang Bao with two solid punches, causing him to see stars. He furiously shouted, “What the hell! Your grandson is back, why are you still hitting me?!”

Yang Bao was taken aback and replied, “It’s great that your grandson is back, but you and I are in-laws, so you can’t curse at me like that!” He swung his fist again.

Chu Xiong Cheng knew that Yang Bao had insulted him mistakenly and, feeling wronged, could only dodge left and right. Yang Bao relentlessly pursued him, not letting up.

Old Madam Yang was so furious that she could hardly contain herself and shouted, “Go! Drag those two apart!”

At her command, Chu Feiling and Yang Ruoxiong led hundreds of fierce guards who rushed up simultaneously, dragging the two old gentlemen apart like dead dogs. Old Master Yang struggled and kicked out, while Old Master Chu retaliated with a kick of his own.

Both men were hit in the stomach at the same time, and they finally separated, collapsing to the ground, gasping for breath.

Old Madam Yang stood up in a fit of rage, wielding her dragon-headed cane and pointed it at them, reprimanding them sternly, “What kind of behavior is this! Is this how you treat family? How can you fight like this when you’re visiting relatives? Aren’t you two ashamed? You two are nearly two hundred years old combined, yet you still fight like children! I’m absolutely appalled! Today is supposed to be a joyous occasion seeing your grandson. If you ruin my mood, I swear I will skin you both alive!”

Old Master Chu grumbled inwardly, “You only say this because your grandson is back! Just earlier, you were yelling at your husband to teach me a lesson… what a black-hearted woman…”

Old Madam Yang continued to scold, “Chu Xiong Cheng, you ought to know better! Regardless of anything, we are guests here. You, as the patriarch of the Chu Family, treat guests this way? I traveled thousands of miles and now I’m starving, yet you bully Old Yang first…”

Chu Xiong Cheng was so furious he felt like he was reaching enlightenment, “I bully Old Yang? How can you say such heartless things? Clearly, it was your Yang Family that barged in…”

Old Madam Yang snapped back, “If you didn’t do anything wrong, would he hit you? He hits you for your own good!”

Chu Xiong Cheng immediately deflated.

Damn it, I’ve seen people defend their own, but I’ve never seen anyone defend this much… Damn it, who said I’m not your husband… but thankfully, I’m not…

Old Madam Yang kicked Old Master Yang in the butt, scolding, “What a disgrace! You let a mere Chu Xiong Cheng beat you like this!”

Old Master Yang cried out in pain, jumping up, his mouth wide open as if it were about to burst, “I was just playing with him…”

Chu Yang watched all of this, his mouth crooked and his calves cramping.

Wow, so this maternal family is full of characters. Now I understand how I inherited my absurd and rogue-like personality — it must have come from here… This really can’t be blamed on me…

Meanwhile, Old Master Chu bellowed, “Get a room ready for guests! Have the kitchen prepare pigs and sheep, and get the wine ready!”

The two old gentlemen glared at each other, then suddenly burst into laughter simultaneously.

Old Master Yang pointed at Chu Xiong Cheng, “Look at your pathetic appearance, hahahaha, you look just like a wild bear…”

Chu Xiong Cheng laughed heartily, “And you look like a wild donkey that’s been skinned!”

Everyone was left speechless between laughter and tears.
