Chapter 767: Chu Family Chronicles 🌸

Published: March 8, 2025

Chu Family, Study Room.

The current patriarch, Chu Xiong Cheng, was putting a map back in its place, sighing gloomily, “How can such a vast area like Ping Sha Ridge come together? Moreover, the three big families are each operating independently. Isn’t this a joke?”

“If the Chu Family were to forcefully conquer, the consequences would be unimaginable! It’s not just about two noble families…” Old Master Chu sighed heavily, his eyebrows almost knitting together.

For Chu Xiong Cheng, the generations of the Chu Family had always guarded Ping Sha Ridge, where they established their roots, and they had grown stronger and stronger, leaving him quite satisfied.

Besides, with his children and grandchildren all striving for success, it was only a matter of time before they soared.

As the elder patriarch, Chu Xiong Cheng already felt a great sense of relief.

As for monopolizing Ping Sha Ridge and completing the mission for the great noble families, Chu Xiong Cheng had never even considered it: since the world was stable now, why would he want to engage in internal strife while the Three Star Holy Clan was rising?

Everyone was looking out for self-preservation and then developing steadily… that would suffice…

Of course, Old Master Chu had no idea that his eldest grandson had already returned to the Chu Family. This Chu King of Hell had single-handedly overturned the entire lower realm, changing dynasties; with just a wave of his hands, he had transformed the middle realm’s fortunes, leading to yet another upheaval!

In just two short years, he had overthrown two dimensions!

Such cunning martial arts were unparalleled in the world!

If Chu Xiong Cheng had known this, he would scarcely have worried about the current challenges facing the Chu Family. The problem was… he didn’t know!

While he was sighing, he suddenly heard a chaotic noise coming from outside, as if someone was shouting, calling, and running everywhere…

The entire Chu Family seemed to be in a frenzy.

Chu Xiong Cheng frowned, pushed open the window, and shouted, “What’s going on? What a mess! Is someone causing a ruckus in broad daylight?”

Old Master Chu, coming from the martial arts world, although he had read a little, always felt that scholarly people were overly complicated. So, he spoke in a very casual, martial arts tone.

A guard rushed over, panting heavily.

“Patriarch, the young master has returned.”

“So what if he’s back? What’s so remarkable about that?” Chu Xiong Cheng snapped, “Are you all wishing he wouldn’t return? What kind of shocking drama is this? I thought you all had seen a ghost!”

“No, no, no… it’s just…” The guard was sweating profusely, “The problem is, the young master didn’t come back alone…”

“Came back with the young madam?” Chu Xiong Cheng’s eyebrows twitched, almost ready to leap out the window, “You bastard! If he didn’t come back with the young madam, did he bring back some random person?! Does he have the guts to bring someone shorter than his wife?”

The guard had a face full of black lines: “No… he came back with the missing eldest young master who’s been gone for nineteen years?”

“What missing for nineteen years…?” Chu Xiong Cheng blurted out, suddenly wide-eyed and gasping for breath, “You… you… brat! What?!”

He suddenly jumped out of the window, grabbing the guard by the neck, “Say that again!”

“Is… the missing eldest young master found…” The guard had a pitiful expression, his voice resembling that of a strangled chicken—his neck being choked, he struggled to keep his feet off the ground…

“Damn! Why didn’t you say this earlier!” Chu Xiong Cheng roared, “Is he with the boss? I’m going!”

The guard had just nodded when Old Master Chu had already disappeared from sight.

The guard fell to the ground with a thud, holding his throat, coughing a few times, and finally rolled his eyes and got back up, “I was hoping for some reward, but instead, I got a beating… damn it…”
