"Bang!" The gate of the courtyard was kicked open by Dong Wulei, shattering instantly!
Then he strode in.
His wife, Yu Wenxiu, was in the house coaxing their child to eat. Hearing the noise, she quickly got up, and before she could step outside to check, she saw the bedroom door crash open with a bang as Dong Wulei stormed in, filled with rage.
The child, just over three years old, immediately cried out in fear…
"What are you doing? You've scared the child!" Yu Wenxiu's brows furrowed in anger as she glared at him.
"Bring him out!" Dong Wulei shouted furiously, "I have something to discuss with my wife!"
The maid rushed in, stumbling as she approached to take the child, but Yu Wenxiu spread her arms to block her: "What are you going to do?"
"Shut up!"
"Slap!" Dong Wulei struck her face with a palm, sending her flying backwards. She hit the ground in a disheveled heap, her delicate features marred with bruises.
The maid, terrified, trembled all over.
"Why haven't you taken the young master outside yet? Do you want to die?" Dong Wulei turned and glared, his roar shaking the entire house and causing dust to fall from the ceiling.
The maid shuddered, quickly picking up the child and fleeing as if for her life.
"Do you dare hit me? You hit me?" Yu Wenxiu looked at her husband in disbelief, suddenly lunging at him like a mad tiger. "I've worried myself sick for you, given you children, sacrificed everything for you, Dong Wulei, and you hit me?!"
"Slap!"
Another slap landed hard on her other cheek. Dong Wulei's eyes flashed with murderous intent as he spoke in a low voice, "Sit down! Or I will kill you!"
His voice was deep as usual, but the suppression and fury, along with the impending threat of violence, were unmistakable.
Yu Wenxiu stared at him with wide, terrified eyes, her hands unconsciously touching her face as she weakly sank to the ground.
"First, you shouldn't worry about things that aren’t your concern. Second, if you don't have children for me, who do you plan to have children for? Third, you say you’ve given everything, but I still don’t see what color your heart is."
Dong Wulei dragged over a chair and sat down slowly, his face as hard as iron!
"Speak! What have you done?" Dong Wulei asked in a low voice.
A flicker of panic flashed in Yu Wenxiu's eyes, and she stammered, "I haven't done anything…"
"Nothing at all! I've done nothing at all!" When Dong Wulei heard this, he suddenly stood up, unhesitatingly lifted the chair that had just been under him, and smashed it down onto Yu Wenxiu’s head. With a loud crash, the sandalwood chair shattered completely, blood splattering across her face.
Although Yu Wenxiu possessed the strength of a martial sovereign, she was caught off guard. Even without his vital energy infused in the strike, she was still left with a bloodied face.
After the loud crash, Dong Wulei dragged over another chair and sat back down, calmly asking, "Now, tell me, what have you done?"
Yu Wenxiu genuinely felt fear now.
She could sense that if she did not speak, Dong Wulei might really beat her to death!
"I… I…" She stammered, her eyes darting towards the door.
"Give up hope: right now in my courtyard, even your father and mother cannot come in." Dong Wulei leaned closer, glaring at her as he spoke word by word, "If you don't speak up, the day after tomorrow, your family will come to pay their respects to you."
His eyes glinted with ruthlessness as he pulled out a handkerchief and gently wiped the blood from her face, saying lightly, "Your family won't dare do anything to me; don’t think your family is that strong! Also… after your funeral, I can marry another woman the very next day… Don’t think you’re the only woman in this world! And don’t think… being the patriarch’s wife of the Dong Family is an easy job. I still haven’t taken a concubine because of you… Those who fail to cherish what they have will end up with nothing. If something happens to my second brother, I will wipe out your family too!
