Chapter 136: King?! [Fifth Update!]
“I like women...” Tan Tan frowned, almost on the verge of tears, “Really, we’re not suitable... Although I don’t discriminate against this now... But... with your strength, it shouldn’t be a problem to find someone else... If not, you three can make do with each other...”
The three were dumbfounded, staring at Tan Tan as if he were a monster.
Tan Tan felt even more certain and couldn’t help but cry out, tears streaming down his face, “What do you see in me? I can change! Isn’t that enough...?”
“No... it’s not us...” It seemed an explanation was necessary; the man in red looked slightly awkward, shaking his hands as he stammered an explanation, his accent a bit strange.
“It’s not you?” Tan Tan immediately felt relieved, and then suddenly thought of another possibility. Scratching his head, he said, “It’s not you... Could it be that your daughter has taken a liking to me? You came here to matchmake? To have me go back and marry her?”
The more he thought about it, the more plausible it seemed. He swallowed hard, imagining, “So... your daughter... is she pretty?”
Suddenly feeling a sense of pride, he thought, I really am charming!
In his joy, the incomplete mark on his forehead suddenly glowed, a faint golden light flashing brightly.
The three in front of him trembled simultaneously, an overwhelming excitement surged through them, and they exclaimed in unison, tears welling up, “King! Is it really you who has returned?!”
All three shed tears, a glow of intense emotion on their faces, their bodies trembling with excitement!
“What?” Tan Tan sat down on the ground, utterly bewildered and confused, “What?”
The three stepped forward eagerly, looking at the half-mark on Tan Tan’s forehead, filled with inexplicable excitement, one of them even choked up.
Seeing them crying while looking at his forehead, Tan Tan became even more terrified, quickly covering his forehead with one hand and retreating in panic, “What are you doing? What do you mean? Even if you’re hungry... there’s not much meat on my head...”
He jumped up in agitation, noticing the three were getting closer, and suddenly shouted, using his spiritual energy, “Don’t come closer! If you do... I won’t hold back!”
The three appeared oblivious, still wearing the same expression.
Tan Tan grunted and threw a punch. As he did, the sound of wind and thunder erupted, and a crown suddenly manifested in the sky.
With a “puff,” his punch landed solidly on the chest of the man in red. The man in red seemed unphased, his body not moving at all, only raising his head alongside the other two to look at the crown in the sky, tears streaming down!
The sun was in the center, the crescent moon on the left, and the stars on the right!
The three gazed silently, entranced, as if the crown were some rare treasure that had not been seen for millions of years, or an incredibly captivating sight. Their eyes shone with a pilgrim-like glow.
“King!”... they all called out at once, their voices choked with emotion.
Tan Tan felt nervous, glancing around in confusion, “Did you guys get the wrong person? I... I’m not your king...”
At this point, he suddenly felt a wave of grievance, saying gloomily, “I’ve never even been a prime minister in my life...”
The man in red wiped his eyes and firmly stated, “Even if all things in the world can be mistaken, there is absolutely no way to mistake you, our king!”
The other two nodded vigorously in agreement.
Tan Tan was at a loss. He truly could not comprehend why he had mysteriously appeared here, encountered these three people, and was inexplicably regarded as their king!
This... this bizarre experience was almost too much for Tan Tan’s mind to process.
“Well... if I’m your king... what benefits do I get?” Tan Tan’s eyes shifted, deciding to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to scam a little.
“King, you can rule the world! The Nine Heavens beneath you, whatever you want is at your command! Anyone who dares to resist will be slaughtered, leaving no trace behind!” the white-clothed person said solemnly.
