Chapter 5: The Heavens and Earth Do Not Change, The River and Stones Do Not Move
Sky Tower, Nine Peaks and One Garden. The seventh generation of the top ten disciples of Sky Tower preside over Cloud Coming Peak, Cloud Mist Peak, Cloud Faint Peak, Cloud Parting Peak, Gathering Cloud Peak, Locked Cloud Peak, Dream Cloud Peak, Hate Cloud Peak, Treading Cloud Peak, and Purple Bamboo Garden.
Gathering Cloud Peak is where the sect master Wu Yunliang resides, and it is the main peak among the nine peaks. One Garden refers to the Purple Bamboo Garden where Chu Yang is located. Among the nine peaks and one garden, although the scenery in Purple Bamboo Garden is the most beautiful, its resources rank at the bottom.
Meng Chaoran, the master of Purple Bamboo Garden, is the youngest among the top ten disciples, and he is naturally indifferent and uninterested in worldly affairs. He has never competed with his nine senior brothers and has only accepted three disciples: Stone Thousand Mountain, Chu Yang, and Tan Tan.
Aside from the fact that Stone Thousand Mountain had to be taken in due to personal feelings, both Chu Yang and Tan Tan are orphans that Meng Chaoran picked up.
In each generation of disciples, ten disciples are selected from the inner sect disciples to act as the leaders of their respective peaks and gardens. The eldest among the ten disciples is the future candidate for the sect master of Sky Tower, holding a prominent position at Gathering Cloud Peak.
In terms of spiritual herbs and the density of spiritual energy, Gathering Cloud Peak is the best among the nine peaks.
For the position of these top ten disciples, the disciples of Nine Peaks and One Garden have been competing fiercely for hundreds of years; everyone has been working hard to strive for these ten spots. Under such motivation and pressure, the cultivation of Sky Tower’s disciples has progressed rapidly.
This world is named Nine Heavens Continent. The area where Sky Tower is located is known as the Lower Three Heavens, also referred to as “Lower Heaven Continent.” In the eyes of ordinary people, there are several mysterious places shrouded in mist all year round, where neither humans, animals, nor even flying birds can approach.
Only some highly skilled martial artists know that these places are entrances that transcend the Lower Three Heavens into the Middle Three Heavens.
In the Middle Three Heavens, there are similarly mysterious places—entrances to the Upper Three Heavens!
To enter, one must possess power that transcends their current world!
As the name suggests, Nine Heavens Continent is an extremely vast continent; its distance from east to west has never been measured, and the distance from south to north is undocumented. It is boundless!
On this vast continent, there are countless legends and myths passed down through generations. Since ancient times, there have been countless emperors and ministers, as well as a plethora of heroes and legends.
Today, one may drink fine wine and watch performances, while tomorrow, they may wear iron chains as death row inmates. Today’s emperor may not be tomorrow’s defeated general or ghost beneath the sword. Today’s bandits, who can say that tomorrow they will not wear the yellow robe and become the overlord?
On this magical continent, anything is possible!
Like any other continent or planet, beyond the court, there are margins, wandering knights, and people from the martial world. Where there is a martial world, there are both justice and evil, and distinctions between righteous and wicked.
The struggle between righteousness and evil is endless. Over long periods of conflict, each side has formed their own systems, martial arts, and codes of conduct. At times, they may battle fiercely, or at other times, they may coexist peacefully for hundreds of years.
Such is the marvel of the world.
Regardless of righteousness or evil, in the eyes of ordinary people, there is a common term: Martial Dao and martial artists!
The chivalrous act of violating prohibitions with martial power holds the same meaning in any world. The character “Wu” encompasses countless meanings. The most memorable among them is nothing but violence!
