Chapter 360: Dying Is Not in Vain

As soon as Chu Yang rushed out of the city gate, he urged his horse to gallop forward with all his might, like a rolling cloud of dust sweeping across the land. Every now and then, he would turn around and shout, “Keep up! Hurry up!”

He was determined not to stop until the horse beneath him was completely exhausted!

His constant urging made the White Horse Knights behind him aware that this matter was probably of utmost urgency, with flames licking at their brows! Lord Throne must have received some crucial intelligence, which was why he was so reckless with the horse's stamina!

Once this understanding set in, the White Horse Knight immediately felt the urgency from Lord Throne, continuously urging, “Hurry! Faster! We mustn't delay, or we might lose our heads over this…”

Thus, over a hundred riders urged their three hundred horses forward with great effort!

The cavalry surged northward…

After nearly an hour, a large mountain came into view, and they had already reached its foot, surrounded by dense woods. The horses were now foaming at the mouth from exhaustion.

Chu Yang gave a shout, pulling on the reins, and the strong horse slowed to a stop.

The White Horse Knight behind him, moving like a whirlwind, overtook him and immediately turned back, “Lord Throne, what's the matter?”

“Let’s take a short rest; we will act immediately!” Jing Menghun's voice was heavy, revealing an immense seriousness.

“Could it be that the Yama has already escaped here?” the White Horse Knight asked in shock. If that were true, the speed of Chu King of Hell was indeed astonishing…

“Exactly! Chu King of Hell is in this mountain!” Jing Menghun said, “This will be a fierce battle; we must prepare ourselves well and succeed in one go.”

“Understood. Thank you for your guidance, Lord Throne!” The White Horse Knight's eyes sparkled with fervor: capturing Chu King of Hell would be a tremendous achievement. His luck seemed to be quite good!

Thanks to his station at the North Gate, and judging by the way Lord Throne hurried over without mobilizing troops after receiving the news, he had benefited from it.

Unbeknownst to him, in his heart, the White Horse Knight had already found ample justification for Chu Yang’s appearance.

It was hard to blame him, for at this moment, Chu Yang was not in disguise but was completely in the likeness of Jing Menghun. If the White Horse Knight still harbored doubts under such circumstances… it would only signify that this guy was plotting to rebel!

“You all rest here; be quick! I’ll go in first to scout and grab something to eat.” Chu Yang spoke coldly, with an unquestionable tone.

“Yes.” The White Horse Knight wanted to offer to do it instead, but seeing the grim and fierce expression on Jing Menghun's face, he didn’t dare utter a word.

In full view of everyone, Lord Throne in his black robe drifted into the dense forest.

The onlookers felt curious, while the White Horse Knight grew furious, shouting, “Why aren’t you all recovering your energy? The Lord Throne is personally looking for food; you bunch of bastards!”

Everyone quickly complied, sitting cross-legged and concentrating on their recovery.

After a while, a wild boar's horrific scream echoed from within the forest.

Suddenly, Jing Menghun emerged from the woods, two large bloody chunks of meat slung over his shoulder, striding quickly. With a loud thud, he threw the pieces onto the ground—each weighing around eighty to ninety pounds.

“Roast this and eat it, quickly!” Jing Menghun commanded decisively, “I’ve already removed the internal organs and bones. You all know how to roast meat, right?”

“Sure… Thank you, Lord Throne! You truly care for your subordinates; how could we dare…” The White Horse Knight flattered awkwardly.

“Enough nonsense! You have fifteen minutes to roast it, eat up!” Jing Menghun's eyes flashed with fury as he glared at him…

“Yes… yes…” The White Horse Knight broke out in cold sweat, thinking how foolish he was, as Lord Throne was clearly under immense pressure and couldn’t tolerate any nonsense.
