Chapter 325: What a Coincidence...

By the Lotus Flower Lake, it was now a sea of people. Most of them were scholars, each dressed elegantly, exuding an unmatchable air of grace.

In such an environment, even those who were not literary figures or poets had to pretend to be refined. Many young men tried to put on a scholarly demeanor while sneakily glancing at the faces, bodies, and figures of the young women nearby.

Yet, they endeavored to maintain a dignified composure, hoping that the beauties would notice them and consider them worthy of affection.

However, little did they know, the more they behaved this way, the less chance they had... It is true that women dislike rogues, but they also detest boring small talk; yet if you do not even dare to initiate conversation, then no matter how upright you are, your chances are still fewer than those of a rogue...

In the center of the Lotus Flower Lake, three major factions were taking shape.

One in purple, one in white, and one in black. From a distance, Chu Yang could tell that the group in black must belong to Jun Luolu. Indeed, they lived up to the name of ‘Anzhuzhu’; even in the music competition, there was an unmistakable air of a gang about them...

In the middle of the Lotus Flower Lake, many large boats gathered to form an enormous platform. Towering high, colorful ribbons fluttered in the wind, and the melodious sounds of string instruments floated in the air, spreading everywhere.

Even though the competition had not yet started, the area was already bustling with activity.

Countless merchants and vendors seized the opportunity to squeeze in, ready to make a fortune from this rare occasion. This was a tremendous business opportunity; even the stingiest would not haggle at this moment; it was time to profit!

Dressed in black, Chu Yang strolled along the banks among the willow trees, his thoughts swirling, seemingly aimless.

His heart was also a bit chaotic.

Young Master Wei had long since left for Jun Luolu's big boat, but the words he had spoken before he departed had unveiled a mystery in Chu Yang's heart. It had caused his thoughts to become unexpectedly tangled.

He finally understood why the person in blue had suddenly vanished. It was likely because their family had called them back. However, after hearing this news, a peculiar feeling suddenly surged within Chu Yang.

When the person in blue was around, they had tried all sorts of ways to get Chu Yang to return home or to show him the jade pendant, but Chu Yang had been equally evasive.

It wasn’t that he didn't want to uncover the mystery of his origins; it was just that... he felt an acute sense of anxiety.

Yes, anxiety; having experienced two lifetimes, Chu Yang had already seen through life and death, holding on to just a faint obsession. But when it came to this matter, it was the only thing that could make him feel anxious.

Though Chu Yang avoided it, he vaguely sensed that his origins probably had more than a fifty percent chance... of being the abandoned child of the Chu Family from years ago.

In his heart, there was hope, but also resistance; and fear.

This was the conflicting emotion Chu Yang felt regarding his origins.

If he truly had been callously abandoned, then Chu Yang would have found it relieving. Severing ties like that would allow him to roam freely without any burdens. Living a carefree life wouldn’t be a problem. After all, he had no extravagant hopes and could not speak of disappointment. Even if he felt hatred, he certainly couldn’t kill them, could he?

But now, knowing it was possible he had been lost... that feeling became much more complicated.

Chu Yang sighed softly, leaning against a willow tree, tilting his face up through the lush green branches, as if trying to block out all the sounds of the Lotus Flower Lake!

The sound of the flute gradually unfolded, and it turned out to be a tune called "Celestial Guests Descend from Heaven"; cheerful and lively, a wave of joyous emotion surged forth, causing everyone who heard it to involuntarily show a look of delight.
