Chapter Twenty-Three: Other Intentions

Qu Ping was almost faint with rage.

The opponent's power was clearly inferior to his own! If they had equal strength, those three punches would have long since knocked him to the ground. The three punches from the opponent were obviously delivered with full force, yet he only sustained minor injuries!

This proved that the opponent's skills were indeed lacking! They were a significant step below his own.

So why had he been on the losing end continuously?

Qu Ping was furious, especially at the opponent's remark, which felt like a taunt aimed at a child. He had even shed real tears, adding to his shame and humiliation.

With a loud roar, he unsheathed his sword with a clang, the sound of the wind howling as he launched a lethal attack!

Liu Yunyan silently exclaimed, "Not good!" Although he didn’t understand what was happening, he could tell from the current situation that Chu Yang's footwork was exquisite, while Qu Ping was panicking, making him absolutely no match for his opponent. This sword strike had placed him in a dangerously extreme situation!

If he didn’t draw his sword, neither would the opponent. Even if he took a few punches or kicks, given his far superior strength, he would be unharmed and nothing serious would happen.

But with this sword drawn, the opponent could logically counter with their own sword! At that point, it would no longer be simply taking punches and kicks…

Silver light flickered, and the sword shadows danced chaotically. Qu Ping’s face darkened, filled with murderous intent as he charged forward like a madman.

A glimmer of cold killing intent flashed in Chu Yang's eyes!

You may not be a good person, but you beat up Stone Thousand Mountain, which made me feel great. I initially thought to go easy on you, yet you dare to kill me?

You’re asking for death!

Chu Yang remained empty-handed, continuously dancing among the sword shadows, evading. Qu Ping's sword fell like a rain of petals, but it couldn't even touch the hem of his clothes.

Yet the chilling murderous aura surrounding him was growing stronger...

Qu Ping yelled, suddenly leaping into the air, his sword blooming like fireworks, descending from above. The Milky Way reversed!

This was a powerful killing move from the Sky Tower's sword technique, a set of sword skills that only those who entered the ranks of warriors were qualified to practice!

Chu Yang snorted and unexpectedly advanced instead of retreating, lowering his body to slip out close to the ground.

This was precisely the fatal flaw of the "Milky Way Reversed" technique: because the body jumps up, the lower body becomes empty, and there’s ample space for the boss!

As Qu Ping unleashed his attack, he found that the opponent had vanished from sight. Just as he thought things were going poorly, he suddenly heard a slight sound behind him.

What was that sound?

Behind his sight, a flash of sword light appeared, causing gasps all around!

Chu Yang had not drawn his sword until this critical moment!

As Qu Ping pondered, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his back, followed immediately by excruciating pain in his left leg, right leg, left shoulder, and right shoulder all at once!

Qu Ping screamed as he fell from the air.

Blood burst forth from five places on his body—his back, left shoulder, right shoulder, left leg, and right leg!

Except for the wound on his back, which only broke the skin, the other four wounds were transparent holes made from back to front!

Silence reigned!

Everyone recognized Chu Yang's move; it was just a simple "reverse sword technique: five plum blossoms"! It was a basic sword technique from the Sky Tower, ordinary and unremarkable, meant only for disciples to practice to build strength.

But the problem was… the timing of this sword was simply too perfect. Just as Qu Ping leaped up with tremendous force, Chu Yang found himself right behind him! Without looking back, he executed the reverse sword technique: five plum blossoms, striking with pinpoint precision like a target practice, every landing spot was as accurate as a textbook!
