The darkness here was different from the night outside; it was a complete and utter silence, a blackness that was more intense than any darkness of the night!
With Chu Yang's cultivation level and the Sword Spirit's soul body, he was astonished to find that he could not see his own hand in front of him. He could only feel himself continuously falling down, without any idea of when he would reach the bottom, or even how far he had already fallen.
This black hole truly felt as if it had no end.
In this situation, an ordinary person would have likely collapsed by now.
But Chu Yang closed his eyes, dismissing all thoughts: Since it had come to this, and he had already reached this point, fear and impatience were of no use!
Since he was here, he should embrace it, allowing everything to unfold naturally!
He did not know how long it had been, but suddenly he felt a sense of vastness beneath his feet, a very mysterious sensation that he could not quite explain.
A gust of cool wind also rushed in through his pant legs.
Chu Yang slowly opened his eyes, letting them adjust to the surroundings, and to his astonishment, the narrow passage he had just felt was endless had vanished. Now, he found himself in some kind of endless void.
Beneath him was something akin to a vast plain, perfectly flat.
It looked somewhat green, but he could not see it clearly. However, as he continued to descend, he gradually noticed that this place was actually a mountain; more precisely, it should be the lower half of a mountain.
The reason it was called half a mountain was because the towering peak in front of him had, for some reason, been split in half. And the place where he landed was precisely the lower half of the mountain. It was as if a stout wooden post stood erect there, though this post was incredibly thick.
At this moment, he was falling at a tremendous speed. The sound of rushing wind filled his ears, and although his eyes could now see objects, the speed of his descent made it difficult to discern anything clearly. Nonetheless, he could clearly see countless colors of light; his eardrums felt like they were going to burst.
Chu Yang did not dare to delay and activated the Nine Heavens Divine Skill with all his might, attempting to form a protective barrier of spiritual energy around his body, which slightly slowed his rapid descent.
Soon, he could see the ground; he was getting closer and closer to it.
"This time I'm probably in for it!" Chu Yang thought to himself, regretting that there was no time for any countermeasures!
"Thud!"
Chu Yang crashed onto the hard ground, and although he had activated the Nine Heavens Divine Skill for protection, he still felt a violent jolt throughout his internal organs, causing a mouthful of blood to surge up his throat. His legs, which hit the ground first, sank deeply into the rocky surface.
Faced with the current situation, Chu Yang couldn't help but recall how he had just fallen from the sky upon arriving at the Nine Heavens Pavilion; it seemed he had experienced a similar descent once again.
What a strange occurrence.
Just as this feeling arose, he distinctly felt his feet touching something, and an unbearable pain shot through his mind. This intense and sudden agony almost made Chu Yang want to scream out!
It hurt too much!
It really hurt too much!
Looking down, he saw that both his feet, and even a large part of his thighs, had sunk into the rocky surface, and at that moment, it seemed they had turned into complete fragments.
What kind of stone was this?
Even if my feet were made of cast iron, they shouldn't have hurt so much. Why did these broken stones cause me such excruciating pain?
What is this thing?!
Suppressing the pain, Chu Yang trembled all over, gathering his spiritual energy, and slowly pulled his feet out of the stones. The process of "pulling" caused him to shiver in pain; he gritted his teeth, finally managing to keep himself from groaning.
Looking down again, although his feet were not completely pulverized, they were close enough; his legs had turned into mere "bone sticks," showing no trace of flesh at all, well, there was still some blood, as blood flowed from the upper half of his thigh like a small river.
