The Sword Spirit sighed, still feeling somewhat incredulous: “Back in the day, the Purple Sky Emperor only had one Medicine Spirit, and yet that alone became an absolute legend in the Nine Heavens Pavilion, something that could never be replicated. But you, unexpectedly, have three at once...”
“And they are all connected by blood, three that will not compete with each other, but will support and promote each other as the same origin Medicine Spirits.”
“Moreover, at the very moment they gained their intelligence, you happened to be nearby. The first person they saw when they opened their eyes was you... Unconsciously, they have already recognized you as the closest person to them, they regard you as their divine parent... which is why they are so attached and obedient to you... It has also saved you the arduous process of winning their recognition...”
The Sword Spirit was speechless: “Such luck is truly... truly…”
After reiterating “truly” several times, the Sword Spirit was finally at a loss for words, completely unsure how to describe it.
This was beyond the realm of language; this luck, or perhaps fortune, was simply too monstrous, too against the heavens!
If the Sword Spirit had a physical form, the first person the Medicine Spirits saw would have definitely been the Sword Spirit. In that case, the outcome would have been vastly different from now.
However, the Sword Spirit could only take shape within the Nine Calamity Space, but now it was filled with death energy and didn’t dare to show itself before the Medicine Spirits. That death energy could completely devastate the Medicine Spirits in the space.
To take a step back, even if the Sword Spirit disregarded everything and manifested, being enveloped in death energy, all plants and living beings would hate him immensely; after all, who would like death energy?
Regardless of the process, the result was that the Medicine Spirits completely ignored the Sword Spirit and only saw Chu Yang. Under such a twist of fate, Chu Yang ended up reaping a tremendous benefit without doing anything.
It seemed that Chu Yang had frequently stumbled upon such events; the King’s Blade was one, and today the Medicine Spirits were another!
Although the Sword Spirit raised the Medicine Spirits for Chu Yang, having invested so much effort but receiving no recognition and being entirely overlooked would make anyone feel disappointed and uncomfortable.
Chu Yang finally understood and broke into a silly grin. It turned out that his luck was so good that he had inadvertently created another legend.
As he was smiling, he suddenly remembered something: “Right, now that we have the nine deaths soul returning grass, should we start treating Qianqian? Let her wake up quickly so that I can also put my mind at ease.”
Thinking of Wu Qianqian, who had given everything, even her life, for Chu Yang and had been in a deep slumber until now, Chu Yang felt a pang in his heart.
The Sword Spirit, in a bad mood, retorted: “Then you should first absorb the death energy I brought back! Right now, I’m practically a grim reaper, filled with death energy; how can I treat her? If I accidentally touch her, even Sleeping Beauty and Dead Beauty would be turned to ashes instantly!”
“Uh, you’re right, I was inconsiderate...” Chu Yang awkwardly scratched his head, realizing he had forgotten about this. Then he suddenly narrowed his eyes: “How dare you scold me! You’ve grown some skills!”
The Sword Spirit quickly raised both hands: “I was wrong…”
“Haha…” The two burst into laughter together.
Ever since arriving at the Nine Heavens Pavilion, the relationship between Chu Yang and the Sword Spirit had become increasingly harmonious; they were no longer in a master-servant dynamic but had gradually developed a sense of camaraderie and friendship.
Both felt warmth and comfort in this form of interaction.
Time waits for no one, and Chu Yang immediately began absorbing the death energy brought back by the Sword Spirit, not daring to miss a single drop. That stuff was truly terrifying—contact meant death, harm meant annihilation. Every bit mattered when it came to saving Wu Qianqian; any mistake was unacceptable. Thus, the two quietly transformed within the Nine Calamity Space.
