Imagine for a moment, fourteen individuals, each expected to be god-like beings on this Nine Heavens Continent, standing tall on the colorful cloud high above, looking down at the world, and suddenly smiling awkwardly at the people below...
What thoughts would arise in your mind if you witnessed such a scene?
Regardless of how others might react, Fengyue and his companions felt a synchronized shiver at this spectacle. They were left speechless, dumbfounded, and utterly disoriented.
There are very few guide messengers one has encountered, and today, after much anticipation to see a master’s grandeur, they were met with a group of individuals who should have been high and mighty, suddenly exhibiting a rather fawning, dog-like expression...
This was truly a catastrophic blow to their image.
Though Chu Yang had his own doubts, he maintained a calm demeanor and asked, “May I inquire, esteemed messengers, is it customary to disperse us across the Nine Heavens Pavilion with so many people at once?”
The leading guide messenger replied, “Your guess is correct. This is indeed a rule of the Pavilion. Those who shatter the void from the same location cannot enter the same area. We are merely following protocol and dare not deviate…”
The guide messenger thought to himself, it must be this kid; he clearly understands the rules of the Nine Heavens Pavilion. What does he mean by this question? Is he implying we should arrange them all in one place? This is troublesome; if it were just one or two, it would be fine, but with such a large group, it is simply impossible to place them all in the same area. Not to mention, there are orders from above. However, to refuse him to his face might offend him. What should I do?
Caught in a dilemma, this situation was indeed dire!
Chu Yang let out an “oh,” clasped his hands behind his back, and with an air of grace, casually said, “How is His Majesty?”
What sort of keen insight does Chu Yang possess?
He could see the whole picture at a glance, and with just a bit of observation, he could deduce the essence of the matter!
Were the Pavilion messengers akin to lapdogs? Clearly not! Yet, were the few before him indeed Pavilion messengers? Absolutely.
Why were they so wary of him?
Chu Yang could guess with a mere thought that this matter was absolutely related to Snow Tear Cold. And who is Snow Tear Cold? The Eastern Emperor!
With such an excellent opportunity at hand, how could Chu Yang not use the tiger’s skin to claim authority, leveraging someone else’s power?
The fourteen guide messengers shivered in unison: It really is this kid; he’s back!
The leader was still calculating in his mind when he heard “His Majesty” and instinctively stood straight, puffing out his chest, “Thanks to your blessings, His Majesty is well!”
His demeanor and tone turned even more respectful.
“Hmm.” Chu Yang nodded gracefully and asked, “May I inquire how many areas are there in the Pavilion?”
The leading guide messenger responded, “There are a total of ten territories, but the outermost one has now been sealed off, leaving only nine.”
Chu Yang paced with his hands behind his back and scolded, “What? Isn’t the Purple Sky restored yet?”
The fourteen guide messengers shivered in unison.
What the hell, is this guy still a young idealist from back in the day? His tone is so large, so harsh, the dissatisfaction within... simply…
“Yes... the heavenly demons are rampant, but currently... the Purple Sky is embroiled in continual battles, while the Nine Heavens Pavilion remains stable. As for the specifics, our positions are humble, and we truly do not know much.”
The leading guide messenger was already beginning to bow and scrape. He seemed to be sweating slightly.
Damn, I can't believe we encountered such a living ancestor!
“Enough!” Chu Yang turned in a circle, saying lightly, “Let’s discuss matters regarding the Purple Sky once I ascend.”
The fourteen individuals above shivered in unison.
Can someone tell us just who this person is?
