“Tonight, I want to know all the truths,” said Wuzhuo City solemnly. The voice was calm, even somewhat flat, but within it lay an unwavering determination akin to a decision made in the face of death!

Undoubtedly resolute.

Chu Yang sighed deeply.

“I know what you want to know.”

Wuzhuo City replied, “I know you know.”

“What is it that you want to ask?” After a moment of silence, Chu Yang said, “You can ask.”

“What do you mean by ‘you can ask’?” Wuzhuo City’s eyes sharpened suddenly: “Does that mean you can answer? Or you can choose not to?”

Chu Yang looked up, opened his mouth, and let the cold snowflakes drift directly into his mouth, feeling the chilling sensation seep into his bones before closing his mouth and shutting his eyes, quietly saying, “Yes, I have the option to choose.”

Wuzhuo City fell silent for a long time and finally said, “This year, I am over forty thousand years old.”

Chu Yang sensitively understood the implication behind his words and sighed deeply, “I know.”

“You don’t know!” Wuzhuo City glared, his voice low and fierce: “I’m telling you, I am over forty thousand years old! I have witnessed the joys and sorrows of mankind, grown accustomed to life and death, and even witnessed the changes of the world!”

“Countless people were born around me, and when I look back, they have long since aged and turned to dust! I have seen countless heroes rise and fall; I have seen the prosperity and destruction of countless families!”

Wuzhuo City gazed at Chu Yang with a somewhat gloomy expression, filled with a weariness that comes from seeing through the ways of the world, and said lightly, “I want to tell you… there’s nothing in this world that can bring me down! At the very least, I will not fall for any reason.”

Chu Yang sighed deeply, “I know.”

“You still don’t know!” Wuzhuo City spoke sharply: “I’ll tell you, I’m over forty thousand years old, and for all these years, my only wish has been the knots in my heart! The resentment in my heart! The brothers who died unjustly!… All of this revolves around one question, and that question is my only desire!”

“I can’t hold out for another forty thousand years, Chu Yang.” Wuzhuo City’s eyes flickered with a certain sadness: “The only one who can fulfill me now is you!”

Chu Yang sighed.

Given Wuzhuo City’s state, he firmly believed he was telling the truth.

“You once said that if one day came, you would unravel my doubts; you also said that as long as I waited patiently and improved my strength, I would be able to see my brothers again.”

“I waited, but… I waited too anxiously! Before you appeared, I knew that there was no chance of seeing them again in my lifetime, so although my heart was bitter, I didn’t feel much. But after you appeared, there was hope.”

“Having hope makes it even more painful!”

“Even harder to bear!”

Wuzhuo City sighed desolately, staring blankly at the wind and snow, his gaze as hazy and unclear as the storm.

Chu Yang took a deep breath and said, “Senior Wu, shall we take a walk?”

Wuzhuo City turned his head sharply to look at Chu Yang. He said seriously, “Alright!”

Dressed in black, Chu Yang floated out into the snowstorm, side by side with Wuzhuo City, clad in white. The two walked together in the vast, snowy expanse, as if walking on level ground.

They walked in silence for a long time.

In an instant, they had traveled dozens of miles, now in an empty wilderness, surrounded by boundless skies and silence. Only the sound of snowflakes falling onto the snow-covered ground added to the tranquility.

“Senior Wu, in this world, every moment is happening with events,” Chu Yang began to speak slowly, adjusting his inner thoughts and carefully choosing his words: “Every event has its reason, and also its outcome. Whether they are ruffians or royal nobles, it is all the same; no exceptions.”

Wuzhuo City walked with his hands behind his back, listening quietly, without uttering a word.
