Chu Yang immediately made a loud bang, rendering the remaining person unconscious and stuffing him under the bed. The old gentleman on the bed remained in a coma, covered with a quilt and facing inward.

With a worried expression, he walked out.

"Old sir, how is Master Zi's injury?" a few people waiting outside eagerly asked.

"Cough... Master Zi's condition is... quite serious. I need to go out immediately to collect herbs! You all must watch over him carefully; I have already used the divine needle to lock in his life force to prevent it from dissipating... Please, please do not let anyone in before I return. If his life force is disturbed, it will be beyond remedy!"

"Time is of the essence, I must leave now! Fortunately, I know where to find this medicine. I fear that if others knew how to harvest it, they might damage the divine medicine and render it ineffective. I will go myself, right away! I leave the matter in your capable hands."

"Rest assured, old sir, we will guard Master Zi faithfully! No one will disturb him!"

After solemnly warning them, the old physician Chu Yang shouldered his herb hoe, carried his medicine box, and confidently walked out.

Once outside, he hurried along, braving the darkness and snow, rushing towards the mountain gate.

This old gentleman was the first physician of the Li family, well-respected and known for saving countless lives; everyone in the Li family knew him well. Thus, Chu Yang's path was smooth.

He was greeted respectfully by patrolling guards who saluted him.

The old gentleman smiled and nodded, his pace unrelenting.

Though he was devoted to medicine, his mystical energy was also at the imperial level third tier. While Chu Yang felt it was not as fluid, it did not hinder him from using the speed of the imperial throne third rank to make haste.

Seeing that he had left the family buildings, Chu Yang sighed in relief and continued onward.

Suddenly, a low voice called from the roadside, "Password!"

Chu Yang stopped and stroked his beard with a smile, "It’s me, the old man."

A big man appeared among the snowflakes, "Ah, it's Master Grand Pharmacist. Where are you heading so early?"

Chu Yang sighed, a look of distress on his face, "Master Zi's life is in danger. I must go out overnight to fetch herbs for him..."

"But the patriarch has ordered... no one is allowed to pass... this..." The big man hesitated.

"I am treating Master Zi, which is a strict order from the patriarch," Chu Yang smiled.

"This..."

"If you don't let me pass, I would be more than happy to return. If Master Zi unfortunately dies... it will be a great disaster for the family, and you will bear the responsibility. In this cold weather, I wouldn’t want to go out either," Chu Yang huffed and turned to leave.

"Wait... Old sir, please stay." The big man immediately deflated and smiled, "I too have my duties... I cannot help it. Since that is the case, please hurry there and return quickly. I will not obstruct you."

"Hurry there and return? On what basis?" Chu Yang rolled his eyes, "Who do you think you are, to command me? Not only will I not hurry back, but I won't go at all!"

"Don't, don't, don't... Old sir, you are magnanimous... I am just a small person... If you let me go, I will be freed..." The big man flattered and tried to appease him.

Master Zi even dared to mention the patriarch's name in the Li family. How powerful he must be... If something were to happen because of him, then... his entire family would truly be in trouble.

"Slap!" Chu Yang waved his hand and gave the man a resounding slap, scolding angrily, "How dare you! Do you think you can just blabber nonsense? You think I will let you off just because I am lenient?"

The big man covered his face, a flicker of anger in his eyes, but dared not retaliate, "Yes, yes, yes... I spoke incorrectly."

Chu Yang huffed, "Being forced out to collect herbs in such weather is already infuriating, and then I have to encounter someone like you along the way!"

After snorting, he raised his head, twirled his goat beard, and arrogantly walked past.
