Chapter 119: Calculated to Death

“So I’m waiting, and I want to have a candid discussion with Master Tang.” Chu Yang smiled, lightly waving his folding fan. From start to finish, he seemed tense but was desperately trying to maintain calm as he continually fanned himself. “This isn’t delaying; it’s genuinely seeking advice from Master Tang.”

Chu Yang claimed it wasn’t delaying, but at that moment, numerous men in black had silently appeared around them; they were the subordinates of the butian pavilion, surrounding them from several dozen feet away. Paired with his words, it created a ridiculous feeling of lying face to face.

“You think your small group can keep me here?” Tang Xingsheng chuckled softly. “Chu Imperial Seat, your precious body is too close to me.”

“Indeed, I feel quite helpless.” Chu Yang helplessly shook the fan. “But if we’re not close, Master Tang won’t catch a whiff of the bone-melting soul-draining powder in this folding fan.”

“Bone-melting soul-draining powder?” Tang Xingsheng’s face changed. “What...what is that?”

Since his identity was exposed, it was the first time Tang Xingsheng showed a hint of fear.

“Bone-melting soul-draining powder, just a small gift for Master Tang on our first meeting. Its value is trivial, not worth your honor. I hope Master Tang won’t take offense.”

“Or perhaps Master Tang hasn’t realized that since I approached, I’ve been positioned upwind; the wind comes from behind me, blowing towards you.” Chu Yang smiled patiently, explaining, “And each time I wave the fan, it’s when the wind is slightly weaker. If it strengthens, it will blow away.”

He squinted and smiled. “Master Tang, being well-read, must know that the wind has no fixed situation, and water has no constant pattern; even from one moment to the next, the strength of the wind can vary.”

“So, while I’m here enjoying the summer breeze and having a heartfelt conversation with Master Tang, naturally, the longer the time, the better. The longer the time, the more Master Tang can enjoy this bone-melting soul-draining powder.” Chu Yang said gently, “I hope Master Tang won’t blame me for being talkative; in fact, I’m usually a reserved person.”

A flash of anger appeared in Tang Xingsheng’s eyes. With a sudden motion, he unleashed a gust of wind from his body, as if shaking off the dust from his robe. However, after this shock, his face changed drastically. “What is this bone-melting soul-draining powder?”

Tang Xingsheng was horrified to discover that the vital energy within him was beginning to dissipate; moreover, the speed of this dissipation was accelerating!

“Bone-melting soul-draining powder, colorless and tasteless; it’s a marvelous powder.” Chu Yang continued to gently wave his fan. “Inhaling it leaves one weak, and the vital energy dissipates; the more one attempts to resist with their skills, the faster it dissipates. Of course, this minor powder won’t have a substantial effect on a master like Master Tang, but for the person in front of me, it’s deadly, just like this.”

Chu Yang smiled and slowly reached out, softly grabbing the hair of the elderly man in front of him, who had his back turned, and lifted him up. With a swift motion, a shining dagger appeared in his hand. Chu Yang looked quietly at Tang Xingsheng and smiled, “He’s dead. Died inexplicably, so peacefully; it’s truly serene.”

Saying this, he forcefully thrust the dagger into the elderly man’s throat, blood gushed wildly towards Tang Xingsheng, while Chu Yang's eyes remained fixed on him. The dagger spun in his hand, and with a kick, a headless corpse was sent flying while he retained a gray-haired head. The eyes of that head were wide open, filled with disbelief.

“Oh dear, it’s really bloody.” Chu Yang casually tossed the head forward with a smile. “Look, Master Tang, your first bodyguard should be a martial sect, right? He died so kindly…”

The elderly man captured by Chu Yang was killed with ease, without a single act of resistance; one would believe even a chicken wouldn’t be so easily dispatched.
