In the deep of night, the bright moon hung in the sky.
In the small courtyard of Diwu Qingrou, a supreme divine thought surrounded and wrapped tightly.
"Is everything ready?" Diwu Qingrou asked softly.
In front of him, the old man nodded, "Ready."
"Mm, tomorrow is the start of the Myriad Medicine Convention selection competition," Diwu Qingrou said, his eyes deep. "How is the response from the major noble families?"
The old man chuckled lightly, "Apart from the local Zhuge family and the Chen family and Li family, the other seven families are all eager to move and are very interested in the news about the Holy Clan Elder."
"That's good," Diwu Qingrou smiled gently. "The Chen family isn't completely disinterested; they are just forced to keep a low profile due to the situation. They have already lost too many people under Fengyue’s command."
"So they now feel they can't afford any more losses."
"But once things start to go awry, the Chen family will naturally take action! Even if they don't make a move, others will find trouble for them."
Diwu Qingrou chuckled lightly.
"And the Li family is currently in turmoil; even if they don't take action, others won't let them off the hook. So... the Li family will also take action."
The old man said, "Yes, the situation has already been arranged; we can say a stage has been set, just waiting for someone to step onto it."
Diwu Qingrou laughed, "Well said. My main job is just to set up this stage. We don’t need to worry about anything else. We just need to wait quietly."
"Just set the stage and not perform?" The old man was taken aback and couldn't help but frown and remind him, "Qingrou, that's wrong; although everything is already in motion, the situation still needs a fuse. Even if it eventually becomes a raging fire, it still needs a spark to ignite it."
"What you say is true. But that spark must not come from us. If we ignite it, we will only be burned to ashes first; that way, even if the plan succeeds, it would be of no use and would only benefit others."
A mysterious smile appeared on Diwu Qingrou's face.
"I don't understand; who can replace us?" The old man pondered.
"If I haven't calculated wrong, that person should have already prepared the trigger. Right now, he only needs us to finish setting the stage, nothing more."
Diwu Qingrou's eyes flickered, "As long as the news that we have set the stage spreads, a war will erupt. The nine great clans will fight amongst themselves in no time."
The old man blinked in confusion, completely unaware of what he was saying.
Allies?
But I've been following Qingrou all this time. How come I haven't noticed?
"Uncle, if I remember correctly, in ten days, on the ninth day of the twelfth month, which is the day the preliminary competition of the Myriad Medicine Convention ends, it should also be my elder brother's birthday, right?" Diwu Qingrou said with a mysterious smile.
"Yes. It's impressive that you still remember this." The old man chuckled.
"My brother will be sixty this year and hasn't properly celebrated a birthday yet... Sigh," Diwu Qingrou sighed, "This time, I, as his younger brother, will celebrate it for him."
The old man was even more confused.
We were talking about important matters, and now you've suddenly switched to birthdays?
This change was too abrupt!
Diwu Qingrou pondered, "You will spread the news tomorrow that the Diwu family has booked the entire Water Moon Pavilion to celebrate my elder brother Diwu Qinkuang's sixtieth birthday!"
"Huh?" The old man was stunned.
I have lived for thousands of years and have never celebrated a birthday this grand. Your elder brother is only sixty and is already having a 'grand birthday'?
"And this time, for my elder brother's sixtieth birthday, I, Diwu Qingrou, will cover all expenses," Diwu Qingrou emphasized, "This statement must be communicated to showcase our deep brotherly bond."
"You will cover it all?" The old man was shocked. "That's not a small amount."
"This little bit of Amethyst I can still afford," Diwu Qingrou said casually, "and this money is from the family."
