"Five bodies of vampires have appeared."
"The one luring them out is Klimt, but..."
"Ah, he seems to be unusually injured."
Marie pointed it out, Fiona frowned, and Oscar nodded.
"Now, even my attacks can be dodged."
Fiona murmured the reason for her frown.
That alone indicates how sharp this vampire's attacks are this time.
"That should be the viscount. But he is properly retreating while casting [Heal] on himself. There is no problem."
Oscar praised Klimt's growth.
Since joining the imperial mage brigade, Klimt has been one of the most developed former members.
His potential was recognized from the moment he joined.
That’s why Fiona selected Klimt to represent them in the party with Hero Roman and had him fight against the enemy fire attribute mage...
Although he couldn't win that battle, his subsequent growth was remarkable.
Now, among the former members, excluding the execs, he ranks among the top five in terms of strength.
"Klimt should be fine."
As Oscar murmured this, he began to walk slowly.
At this point, even Fiona and Marie couldn't understand what 'fine' meant.
Of course, if it meant that he wouldn't receive a fatal blow from the vampire viscount, they could agree...
But Oscar's actions were beyond the imagination of the two.
"[Heaven and Earth Collapse]."
He cast a large-scale magic capable of destroying cities.
Flames, like meteors, began to rain down from the sky.
Of course, he narrowed the range and targeted the vampire.
Even so, it was originally a magic intended for city attacks.
Klimt, who was fighting the vampire, couldn't say he was unaffected.
"Ugh."
Klimt's voice, a scream-like groan, seemed to reach Fiona and Marie.
"Master!"
Fiona couldn’t help but call out to her master.
The situation had gone beyond emotional restraint.
Admittedly, that seemed questionable.
"Klimt should easily dodge, right?"
Oscar answered nonchalantly as he approached the 'collapse site.'
Upon hearing such a response, Fiona sighed.
"As usual... No, is this a testament to your trust in your subordinates? Yes, let's think of it that way."
For some reason, Fiona tried to convince herself like it was an excuse.
Marie, standing next to her, shook her head slightly without saying a word.
"Klimt, are you safe!"
"Y-yes! I'm fine!"
In response to Oscar's call, Klimt answered from a place slightly away from the site where the flames were falling.
Upon hearing his voice, Oscar nodded once and turned toward the 'collapse site.'
There stood the vampire, glaring with anger.
"This greeting is for you."
A voice squeezed out.
"As expected of a vampire, and especially a viscount. You deployed a powerful [Barrier], didn’t you?"
Oscar praised.
He clearly saw it.
The vampire had deployed a [Barrier] to prevent the [Heaven and Earth Collapse].
"The barons weren't that strong, so I was a bit concerned. But the viscount is something else."
Oscar said as he drew his sword.
"Of course! I am a viscount. The barons, those inexperienced fools, can't compare!"
"Inexperienced?"
Oscar tilted his head at the word contained in the viscount's statement.
"Those who are about to die don’t need to know."
The vampire spoke with a voice laced with anger and mockery.
"I see, that's unfortunate. Ah, let me introduce myself. I am Count Oscar Lusk of the Debuhi Empire."
"Debuhi Empire? I haven't heard of it; is it a small country I don’t know? Yet it calls itself an empire; the ambition is grand."
"I see you don’t know. Although the vampire race seems to have a long lifespan, their knowledge isn't impressive."
"What did you say! Are you mocking me?"
"I merely stated a fact; don’t take it personally."
The enraged vampire, Oscar shrugged.
"…You said your name is Oscar? Very well. I usually don't introduce myself to humans, but I will now. My name is Viscount Omomafu Marissan. Remember it; I am the one who will kill you."
"Viscount Omomafu Marissan, the name of the first vampire I will kill, I will remember it well."
"Shut up!"
Marissan barked and charged at Oscar in an instant.
In his hands, he held a deep crimson sword, its hilt and blade having appeared out of nowhere.
