The fourth day of consecutive posts at midnight!
The area surrounding the Northwest Guard Military Outpost had transformed into a hellish scene.
A man with blue hair and red eyes observed it all with a displeased expression.
Beside him stood a girl with black hair flowing down her back and golden eyes.
The girl was smiling.
It was a wicked smile that did not suit her age.
Her beautiful face only accentuated the malevolence of her grin.
"Hehehe. I can feel it. The blood of the fallen humans is becoming my flesh and blood."
The way he expressed that sentiment was entirely unsuitable for someone of the "girl's" age.
"Lord Raja, I don’t like bullying the weak."
The blue-haired man muttered with a sigh.
Raja, the black-haired girl, glared at him and snapped back.
"I know that! That's why I came along. If Dainan takes command, it won’t turn into a massacre. He’ll let the weak escape instead of killing them!"
"Well, I can’t deny that, but..."
"Deny it! You should follow my orders and kill them all! You are my kin, you know?"
"I won't deny that."
"Of course not!"
The blue-haired man, Dainan, shrugged his shoulders slightly, while the black-haired girl, Raja, frowned angrily.
"Dainan-sama, we've completed the outpost's suppression."
"Good, now it's time for the main outpost. Hmm? Speaking of which, we haven't received any reports from those attacking the outpost."
Dainan nodded at the report from his subordinate.
However, he soon realized that he had not received any reports about the suppression of the Northwest Guard Military Outpost itself.
He turned to look at Raja, the black-haired girl, and asked.
"We haven't received any reports... have we?"
"We haven't suppressed the outpost at all. The 'fragments' that those who live for battle possess are the strongest flesh and blood, yet none have fallen to the ground at all."
"Ah..."
The cultists who were listening to the conversation at that moment didn’t understand at all.
They were unaware that the black-haired girl, Raja, was actually the 'demon' they worshipped.
For them, Dainan, the blue-haired man, was their guiding leader.
"There's no helping it, I will..."
"I will go."
Raja interrupted Dainan's words.
Dainan made a face that clearly showed his displeasure.
"Hey, Dainan, what's with that face!"
Raja pointed angrily at Dainan's face.
"Well, because..."
"No matter what you say, I am going!"
With those words, Raja began to walk away briskly.
Dainan followed behind her, shaking his head slightly.
The Northwest Guard Military Outpost was resisting fiercely.
All surrounding outposts had fallen, but the main outpost seemed to still be unharmed.
The demon cultists were besieging it, but they were not succeeding as well as they had with the outposts.
The cultists were receiving the protection of the demon, and their strength was increasing.
That said, they were essentially still human.
It was not easy to forcibly suppress a location where trained military personnel were holed up...
Just then, their leader, the blue-haired Dainan, arrived.
Alongside him was the black-haired girl he had brought with him.
It was rare for the black-haired girl, who usually remained deep within their "base," to appear at the forefront like this in battle.
"How many are holed up inside?"
"About two thousand, I think."
"Two thousand? There are still not even half of the Northwest Guard left?"
Dainan said in surprise.
"No wonder we feel so weak."
Only Dainan could hear Raja's mutter.
"Well, they have grown considerably over the past three months."
Dainan murmured softly.
"That's because the 'walls' of the 'corridor' have opened. I don’t know who opened it, but thanks to that, the 'power' from the Central Nations has started to flow in."
"It’s the power from the ley lines. Until now, I’ve been gradually collecting fragments by sending demon insects and capturing Kunmammo Castle, so that your presence, Raja, wouldn’t disappear..."
"I know! Once I completely resurrect, I will reward you. You, too, have become stronger as my power has filled."
"Well, I won’t deny that..."
