The two emerged from the Azure Orb Company Wannya Branch.
"This is troubling. I can't think of a way to meet the Lord Protector."
"The other party is the top of the nation. It won't be easy to meet them, right?"
"In such cases, I think the pattern usually is that the Lord Protector's carriage is attacked, and we happen to pass by and help, thereby building a relationship."
"That's why there won't be anything like that."
Ryo hoped for a classic development like in a light novel, but Abel immediately denied it.
"Besides, the security for a national envoy is always the strictest."
"I understand what you mean, Abel..."
"Just give up."
Ryo pouted in dissatisfaction, and Abel shut him down with a single word.
The two were heading towards the Azure Orb Pavilion Wannya where they were staying.
Of course, on the way, they would pass by the Peaceful Sea Pavilion again.
This time, however, there was quite a crowd gathered there.
However, the area around the entrance of the Peaceful Sea Pavilion was secured with a considerable amount of space by the guard soldiers.
Perhaps it was to be prepared in case an assassin was lurking inside...
"It feels similar to the crowd at the trading port."
"Like they want to catch a glimpse of the ship's captain."
As Ryo and Abel were having this conversation, a carriage stopped in front of the inn.
Immediately, it was heavily guarded by the soldiers.
"No way..."
"This is the pattern where the Lord Protector arrives!"
Abel exclaimed in surprise, while Ryo looked pleased.
Then he continued.
"Within this situation, they are attacked by ruffians..."
"To prevent that, the security is extremely tight."
"Ugh... I suppose it won't turn out to be that perfect of a pattern. That's unfortunate."
The man who got off the carriage exuded an overwhelming presence just by stepping out, making it impossible for anyone to ignore him.
The crowd fell silent, captivated by his presence.
A voice rang out.
"Lord Protector, the Abel here is the root cause of your plans being thwarted, and I wish to talk about the Rain Shooter at the port."
"Hey..."
Was that voice a signal? The crowd's murmurs erupted once more.
Of course, while that voice echoed, Kavui Somaru continued to walk without stopping, passing through the doors of the Peaceful Sea Pavilion.
But he stopped there and spoke to the man beside him.
"Narn, did you hear those words just now?"
"Yes, your highness. However, such ramblings are common. This is enemy territory, and there might be those who incite it."
The man called Narn shook his head slightly as he replied.
"No, that's not it. Well, that is concerning too... But it's not that, it's the words 'Rain Shooter'."
"Rain Shooter? Now that you mention it, he did say that. What does it mean?"
"Most likely, 'Rain Shooter' is the original name of the Bralcau."
"What...?"
Narn was left speechless by Kavui Somaru's words.
The ship they had boarded was called Bralcau, but that name was given after it was seized by the Sujay Kingdom Navy.
The ones who seized it didn't know the original name of the ship either.
It seemed the ship's name had once been inscribed on the stern, but the paint had been stripped away by the time it was seized.
However, six months after the seizure, when the steering wheel was removed for repairs, the name 'Rain Shooter' was found engraved.
It was presumed to be the original name of the Bralcau...
"Only a handful of people, even in the navy or those connected to that ship, know that name. It's intriguing that it was shouted in that situation."
"Indeed."
Narn nodded in agreement with Kavui Somaru's words.
"Narn, I want to know who the people were that shouted just now. Investigate."
"Understood."
"And ask Admiral Lockday about the name 'Abel'."
"The admiral is at Golan Prison, but..."
"They have been infiltrating our people there for a while, right?"
"Yes. Is that acceptable?"
"I don't mind. Use it."
"Understood."
Golan Prison was the prison located on the opposite side of this Wannya Island.
It primarily housed political prisoners and war captives.
Due to the nature of housing war captives, the Sujay Kingdom had infiltrated spies and bribed many guards to win them over.
