âMr. Abel, Mr. Ryo, this is the âAzure Orb Pavilion.â Please come in.â
Ban Hugh guided them to the inn, the Azure Orb Pavilion, which was a quite large and impressive two-story building located in the center of the town.
Leading the way, Ban Hugh took the two to a place that seemed to be the reception area at the front.
There stood a cheerful woman in her twenties, who bore a resemblance to Ban Hugh in some way, smiling warmly.
âWelcome!â
âThis is Mr. Abel and Mr. Ryo,â Ban Hugh said to the woman in the local language.
ThenâŚ
âWelcome, Lord Abel, and Mr. Ryo. Please check in here.â
The woman began speaking in the Central Nations language.
Understanding what Ban Hugh said in Central Nations language, she realized that while the two did not understand the local language, they could comprehend Central Nations language.
âThatâs impressive, a professional job indeed.â
âThey're well-trained,â Ryo murmured, and Abel responded quietly.
âA guest registration?â
The paper presented to them was written in Central Nations language.
It seemed to be a well-thought-out process.
They were required to write their names, country of origin, and reasons for visiting the town.
It was reminiscent of the question asked when entering a country on an international flight: âIs your reason for visiting work or tourism?â
âRecently, regulations have tightened. Customers who cannot fill this out will not be able to stay,â the woman said with an apologetic expression.
âHmm.â
Abel said this and began writing.
Simply âAbel Naitorei Kingdom.â
By the way, it seemed the reason for visiting the town was âwork.â
âNot for tourism, right?â
âEven though you were eating so happily?â
âI donât want to hear that from Ryo!â
Even if they were visiting for work, it was fine to enjoy the foodâŚ
After Abel finished writing, Ryo started.
âRyo Naitorei Kingdom work.â
However, while writing, Ryo found it strange.
Originally, Ryo had been reincarnated from Earth.
And somehow, he could understand Central Nations language.
Reading, writing, speaking, everything.
Was it Michael (alias), or perhaps the being he referred to as âGodâ?
He didnât know who set these âsettings.â
But he couldnât understand the local language in this town.
Neither conversation nor the written characters made sense to him.
âIf I canât have the aptitude for all magical attributes, at least I should have the ability to understand all languages.â
He murmured something that would likely make a linguistâs eyes widen in anger.
After the procedures were completed, the two left the reception area.
âThank you for staying with us, Lord Abel, Mr. Ryo.â
Ban Hugh, who had been waiting just behind them, bowed his head.
Perhaps it was because they had been confirmed as guests that âMr.â had changed to âLord.â
âWell, thatâs fine. So, I would like to see a map.â
âAbel is too impatient. In a quality inn like this, there should be a welcome drink.â
âA welcome⌠something? What is that?â
âItâs like, âWelcome, please enjoy a drink first.â The innâs prideful beverage heals the tired traveler for free and captivates them with just that one cup.â
Ryo confidently answered Abelâs question.
However, Abel caught it out of the corner of his eye.
For the first time, Ban Hugh, who had been flawless until now, showed a flustered expression.
But it was just for a moment.
âOver there in the dining area of the inn, I will bring you drinks along with a map.â
âSee! As expected of a good inn. Come on, letâs sit over there and wait.â
âNo⌠I donât think the drinks were part of the plan.â
Ryo cheerfully began to move toward the dining area, and Abel followed while muttering in a small voice.
A short distance away, Ban Hugh started murmuring while preparing the map and drinks.
âA welcome drink⌠what a wonderful idea! I didnât know such inns existed⌠Right! It might be good to have them fill out the guest registration while enjoying that drink. I need to suggest this to my father right away.â
